HOW TO MAKE SLIME

On Friday, the students received their report cards and reviewed them at school. There shouldn't be any surprises as the details of the report cards can be seen at anytime on FreshGrade. Ongoing assessments are an important part of your child's learning. Please be sure to check FreshGrade on a regular basis to stay well informed of your child's ongoing progress. A digital version of your child's report card will be uploaded to FreshGrade in the next few days. Please feel free to email me if you have any questions regarding your child's learning.

1.) POST A RESPONSE:

We have been working on being able to give explanations in a clear, logical, and concise manner.
In a clear manner, please post instructions on how to make slime.
If you do any research, be sure to include the link fo the site/video you used for your recipe. Feel free to use this video as a model for your post a response if you like or do your own research.
Feel free to post instructions for regular slime, butter slime, das slime, etc.
Your instructions should be easy to follow.
FOCUS: Use transition words (first, second, finally, etc)
FEEDBACK: Give one other student feedback on their use of transition words.
Edit/revise.

2.) POST A RESPONSE 2:

You started your digital photography unit on Friday. The first skill you learned how to apply was the 'RULE OF THIRDS'.
Practice using the skills you learned in class. Take pictures and choose your best example of the 'RULE OF THIRDS'.
Upload this photo to one slide on this Google Slideshow.
Come up with a title for your slide.
The theme for your picture this weekend is 'FUN'. The object of focus can be anything that represents 'FUN' to you.
In a short paragraph, explain the meaning of your photograph.
Comment on at least 2 other photographs and how they used 'RULE OF THIRDS'.

The perfect slime
First, empty about one cup (or almost the whole bottle) into a mixing bowl. Add 1/2 teaspoon of baking soda and any food colouring, scent, or glitter you want. Mix evenly. Next, add a squirt of contact solution and mix, continue until slime no longer sticks to sides of the bowl. Finally add a squirt of baby oil to the mi so the slime won't stick to your hands and will be more stretchy (Optional.) Remove from bowl and enjoy with your friends or just by yourself.

I need to go somewhere so I'm just going to give the easiest slime recipe.

First, get a bottle of elmer's glue (only elmer's) and pour some (or all) into a mixing bowl. Then little by little, add some tide detergent. Keep adding and mixing until you feel like it is the right texture. If you add too much detergent, just squirt some lotion onto the slime. Since the tide detergent is already blue, you won't have to add food colouring. If you like you can add a scent or some glitter and voila you have your slime.

This P.A.R Sofa would definitely love

1. Get any PVA glue, clear or white(I like to use Elmer's)
2. Pour as much glue as you want in any mixing bowl
3. (optional) Add same amount of water as glue. Add glitter, color, pigments etc. or leave it be
4. Add your activator and mix until it doesn't stick to the bowl. OR you could also touch the slime while adding activator to see if it isn't sticky because your slime could be over activated
ACTIVATOR: (cup of warm water w/ one tsp of borax, baking soda and contact solution, or laundry detergent with PVA)
Voila you're done

Possibly the easiest way to make slime.
You will need a bowl, glue, most likely Elmer's glue, tide detergent and any extra stuff you want to put in your slime. First of all you will need to pour glue into the bowl, it doesn't matter how much you put in. Secondly, you add the detergent until it's at a texture where you think you can touch. If it's still sticky and some more detergent. Lastly, add whatever you wanna add to make it look beautiful. There, you have slime. Yay!

@ Vivian - Do you have to add the same amount of water as glue? What does that do to the slime? Make it thinner or slimier?

Step 1
Put milk in to a bowl. I mean put liquid glue into a bowl.
Step 2
Add some sort of baking soda or something that will make it react.
Step 3
Add some food colouring if you want.
Step 4
Add some sort of scent to make it smell FABULOUS.
Step 5
Add borax or contact lens solution so the slime does not stick to your hands.
Step 6
Mix well until the slime stop sticking to your fingers.

Slime is very popular among kids like us! They're so popular people are selling them for quite a bit. Can't afford slime? I'll teach you how to make slime with your everyday items. First, put liquid glue in a bowl. Secondly, add baking soda and food colouring. Then, to make it smell maleficent add some sort of scent. For example, passion fruit oil. Second to last, add borax or contact lens solution to avoid stickiness. Finally, mix the solution for a minute or two and there you have it!

Since I know nothing about slime, I asked my little sister help write the slime PAR. She went crazy when I showed her. She said that I have the best homework ever. xD

"How do you make sime?", I asked myself. When I looked up and as if my sister can read my mind, she said: "Would you like to know how to make regular slime? Here are the steps to make slime....
First, you will need to get your ingredients. You need PVA glue. I use Elmer's Glue. You also need slime activator. I use contact lens solution.
Next, you get a bowl and a mixing utensil.
Now, you pour in a disired amount of glue in you bowl.
Then, you add in (slowly) you activator DO NOT OVER ACTIVATE.
Finally, mix it until it gets hard to mix. When it gets hard to mix, start kneading it in your hands and continue to put activator until it's not sticky nor over activated.
NOW YOU'RE DONEEE!!", she raised both of her hand up while smiling arrogantly.
"Zzzzzz....", I fell asleep which made me missed everything she said.
"Sighhhh... I guess I'll have to write it down...". She stood up and went to her room to write it all down.

If I am going to make slime , I would make fluffy slime, I really like how the texture
turn out , it seems like I am playing with a cloud , if you also want to make one , feel free to look at how I make it . What you need is white glue , the white glue must include PVA in it , and you will need some food colouring, this is optional but if you add it , the slime will be so pretty. Also , you will need some borax , water and shaving foam, you can't use shaving gel cause the texture might be different. So now , let me teach you how to make it. First I always make the borax first, you will need 1 cup warm water with 1 teaspoon borax , it has to be warm water cause you have to melt the borax , after that stir them up. And you might take an other bowl to put glue in. You can put how many white glue you want , and now you can put food colouring if you have , after that mix them up , you have to mix it really well. Next , you can put the shaving foam , for shaving foam I think you have to add a little bit more but don't put more than the glue . After that, stir it up again. Then you are ready to put borax, you don't have to put a lot cause if you put a lot , your slime will be so hard , you can add little by little , until it doesn't stick to your hands . After that, you are gone , enjoy playing with your slime.

Wow Mr. Hong I WONDER *COUGH COUGH* WHO *COUGH* YOU GOT THE SLIME IDEA FROM *AHEM COUGH COUGH*
So... if you know me, I love slime, and I know how to make it. Here goes!:.
First, gather your ingredients! You'll need: PVA glue (Elmer's glue works fine), food colouring (optional), lotion (to make it stretchy), shaving foam (again, optional), and activator, which is just laundry detergent (if you don't have that........then one cup of warm water mixed with one teaspoon of borax works as well.
INSTRUCTIONS: Squeeze out the amount of glue you want (depending on how much slime you would like to make), then add shaving foam accordingly (usually, if you want a regular amount, you would put half/a quarter of the amount of glue). Add in a little bit of lotion, then mix it all together. Next, you can add in some food colouring (optional), and mix once again. After that, when everything is mixed well, add in your laundry detergent/borax activator bit by bit, stirring well between each addition. When the slime starts to come off the bowl, add one last bit of activator, then knead it with your hands, until it is the perfect consistency for you. Finally, you can put your finished product it into an airtight container, so it doesn't dry out.

You might not know, but I loved slime and I had a bunch of them at home. There's how you make the basic slime.
First, you pour you glue into the bowl or your container, I suggest elemer's glue. Second, you can add some shampoo, remember, if you add more, your slime will be more soft, and I usually add about 1 over 5 of water in. Then just mix until everything is well mixed. Last, you can add in activator, which is borax and water mixed, also remember, put hot water and borax into another container, until the borax is mixed into the water, then you pour in a little into the bowl with glue. Just repeat, mix, pour in a little borax water, and mixed again, until it forms slime! For the very basic slime, you can skip all steps, just go with the first and last step, pour in glue then borax and water.

How to make the best and perfect
slime 101

Are you trying to find the best slime recipe? Well I think that this recipe is for you. Not only it is very basic but it feels so fluffy and nice.

Ingredients: *=optional
- PVA glue ( white for opaque slime clear for clear slime)
- * Shaving cream( for fluffy slime)
- *Glitter (for a shimmery look)
-*Food coloring (again for color)
-Activator( borax and water, baking soda and contact lens solution, liquid detergent, liquid starch)

Steps:

1. Add in your glue to your desired amount
2. Add in your optional stuff ( Glitter, shaving cream, food coloring, and etc)
3. Mix it all together
4. Add the activator little by little so you won't over activate it.
5. Once it's not stuck to the walls of your bowl, take it out and start kneading and play with it.
6. Voila. Your done and now you can show it to all your friends.

PAR #1 Instructional writing

Have you ever wanted to make some gooey, sticky, rainbow slime? Well I can teach you how in a few simple steps.

You will need the following ingredients:
~1 bottle of Blue Elmers Glitter Glue
~1 bottle of Green Elmers Glitter Glue
~1 bottle of Pink Elmers Glitter Glue
~1 bottle of Purple Elmers Glitter Glue
~Borax Mixed With Water (use one Teaspoon of borax and 2 Tablespoons of water)
~4 Clean mixing bowls
~Spoons to stir with

Now, once you have gotten all the ingredients, you can start to make the slime. First, empty your glitter glue into the bowls, using one bowl for each color of glue. Secondly, add borax water and stir until the slime starts pulling away from the sides of your bowl. (It does not matter which color of glue you start with because you will be doing the same thing to each bowl of slime as you mix the glue with the borax and water). Then, once the slime is not sticking to the bowl, you get to put your hands in it and start kneading your slime. (knead your slime well until it is not sticky. Still too sticky? Put it back in the bowl and add a tiny bit of borax water). Next, when you are ready to make your rainbow slime, roll and stretch each color, laying each one down next to the other on your table or clean counter. (A cutting board will also work well for this). Finally, pinch the colors together a little bit and stretch your slime from the ends. You will see the beautiful colors of your rainbow slime start to appear. Keep stretching your slime and prepare to be amazed! Can you make a double rainbow? Or an orb that looks like the galaxy? Go on, and have fun making some slime!

HOW TO MAKE BASIC SLIME

What you will need:

1 Bottle of Elmer's glue
2 Mixing bowls
1 Tbsp of borax
1 Cup of hot water
1 Container
Food colouring *Optional*

Directions:

1) Empty one bottle of Elmer's glue into a large mixing bowl.
2) *Optional* If you want your slime to be coloured, add a few drops of food colouring and mix.
3) Take 1 tbsp of borax and mix with 1 cup of hot water in a separate bowl.
3) Mix until dissolved.
4) Slowly mix borax solution into glue until it doesn't stick to the bowl.
5) Knead (Don't be afraid to get your hands dirty with this)
6) Enjoy!
7) When finished playing with the slime store in an air tight container.

PAR #2: Rule of Thirds

This photo is called “Celebratory Family Lunch”. I took this photo at our family lunch today. We had the lunch because my uncle is leaving to go to India for a six week business trip and he will miss our Chinese New Year dinner which is on February 16th. Therefore, we had our New Year’s celebration earlier this year. We went to Po Kong Vegetarian Restaurant because my uncle is a vegetarian. Usually on Chinese New Year, we would have a feast with all our family members. We would also have a special “Eight Treasures New Year’s cake” as a dessert (Photo attached). It is called “Babao Fan” in Chinese. It is very special and represents prosperity in the coming year. During the celebration, we would also make New Year’s resolutions for anything we want to achieve or do; it can be personal or academic. Additionally, we would get red envelopes with money inside (Photo attached). The envelopes represent happiness and good luck. As usual we had a fabulous time celebrating Chinese New Year. I wish my uncle a successful business trip. When he comes back, we will have another get-together.

How to make the perfect slime. You will need Elmer's glue, baking soda, contact solution, a bowl and a spoon. First you pour half a cup of glue into the bowl. Then put half a tea spoon of baking soda and mix it with the spoon. Finally you put two table spoons of contact solution in the bowl and give it a good stir until it doesn't stick to the bowl. Ta da! Next, grab some glue and water and a separate container. Add a half of cup of glue and half a cup of water into the container. Stir until the two are well combined. The mixture should be watery.

For the third step, you need to have food coloring. Now, add the food color to the batch of the glue mixture. However, you must start with a couple of drops or the color may be dark.

Now comes the fourth step. Simply combine the two mixtures into a larger container. Stir them together well, you may possibly see the slime start to form! Now, let the slime sit for about 30 seconds. This will entirely allow the slime to solidify.

Finally, simply take out the slime and have fun! It is normal to have leftover water at the end of this process. Simply remove the slime from the water and discard the water.

You presumably saw popular kids in your school use slime at least once in your life. However, you might be there wondering, how do I possibly make slime?

In the multiple paragraphs below, I'll be demonstrating six simple steps to make basic slime. First, you'll need some borax and warm water. Take 15 grams of borax powder and 120 ml of warm water (One cup.) Add them to a bowl and stir until the borax is dissolved.

First, you'll need some borax and warm water. Take 15 grams of borax powder and 120 ml of warm water (One cup.) Add them to a bowl and stir until the borax is dissolved.

Next, grab some glue and water and a separate container. Add a half of cup of glue and half a cup of water into the container. Stir until the two are well combined. The mixture should be watery.

For the third step, you need to have food coloring. Now, add the food color to the batch of the glue mixture. However, you must start with a couple of drops or the color may be dark.

Now comes the fourth step. Simply combine the two mixtures into a larger container. Stir them together well, you may possibly see the slime start to form! Now, let the slime sit for about 30 seconds. This will entirely allow the slime to solidify.

Finally, simply take out the slime and have fun! It is normal to have leftover water at the end of this process. Simply remove the slime from the water and discard the water.

How to make (cringy) slime

I'm too lazy to make my own recipe for slime,so I'll just use the video :-)

Slime is SO AWESOME!Everyone loves slime. RIGHT ANDREW?? Andrew? Andrew seriously. ANDREW I DON’T APPRECIATE WHAT YOU SAID. ANDREW!! He said “Yeah right Sofia,slime is so cringy that it always make me cringe like the cringiest cringy cringer like that cringy woman in that cringy video that I told you to send a cringy hate message to,did you do that yet?”Ok,maybe some people don’t appreciate the awesomeness of slime.Vivian,YOU appreciate slime right? “No.” Ughhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh. “FINE,if you folks don’t APPRECIATE the true beauty of slime, I’ll SHOW YOU.” “RIGHT NOW.” “Now kids,did you even hear what the Learning Intention is? 8 hours later….. (Btw he let us go home eventually but I was NOT going home) I practically dragged Andrew and Vivian down the street towards dollarama where I bought a lot of materials for slime.” Do we really have to do this cringy thing?” said Andrew “It’s 9 o clock,” “Yes,” I hissed at Andrew “You hurt my feelings by saying slime is cringy,so I’m going to SHOW you just how much cooler slime is than YOU.” “ But” “ SILENCE” I snarled.Then,I dragged him and Vivian back to my house to begin making the slime.

So anyways I have a lot of recipes for slime,but just to spite Andrew I'm going to use the recipe from the ‘cringy’ video. To do that the cringy woman says.
Elmer’s glue
Baking Soda
Contact Solution
Coloring (optional)
Baby Oil (optional)

The steps.
1.Mix ½ a cup of glue (approx.one bottle) with ½ a teaspoon of baking soda,and your coloring.Quickly mix the slime.

2. Add extra stuff

3.Mix everything up.

4.Add 1 to 2 tablespoons of contact solution

5. Mix and add a squirt or two until it sticks to itself.
6. Add baby Oil( optional)
And you’re done. Andrew was crying because we were using the cringy thingy. Andrew squealed said IHATESLIME and ran out the door. Vivian was asleep. Does nobody care about slime?!UGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH. Now it was my turn to cry.

There are many types of slime you can make. I personally like the clear and cloud slimes. Want to know how to make slime? Here’s how I make my slimes. First, pour your desired amount of pva glue into your bowl. Second, add in your food colouring, shaving cream, glitter, beads, etc. Third, add in your activator. I use the borax method which is 1 cup warm water and 1/2 tsp borax. Next, knead your slime with your hands when it’s no longer sticking on the bowl so you don’t over activate your slime. Lastly, your slime is finish.

Slime tutorial:

I’ve watched slime tutorials before and the people in the video make it seem so easy! (spoiler alert, it’s not always) Probably because they’re slime experts and have memorized the correct ratio for glue to activator, and what not. But, without further delay, here is my (detailed-ish) slime tutorial

What you will need:
Pva glue (Clear, or white as either works)
Activator (Borax water*, contact solution, or laundry detergent**)
Something to stir with
A bowl to make the slime in
An airtight container big enough to fit your final product
Optional things:
Cream (Hand cream, I mean. You can shut the fridge door now)
Colour (Food colour, pigment, or you can even stab your slime with a coloured marker repeatedly)
Shaving foam
Add-Ins (Glitter, foam beads, beads, scent, daiso or model magic clay)

First take your bowl and pour in some glue. Don’t bother measuring how much glue you add, because unless your parents don’t care you probably shouldn’t get glue all over the measuring cups. Chances are you won’t add the exact amount, but as long
as it’s not too off you should be fine. After that is a good time to add in any of the optional things with the exception of clay (it’s easier to add that in later, in my opinion). Stir the glue and whatever you chose to add, or don’t stir it if you only added glue (stirring glue by itself doesn’t really do anything…). Then add a bit of activator and stir it. You probably didn’t add enough, you can tell by lifting the thing that you’re stirring with up, and it if stretches like slime then it is slime. Once you get to that point try poking it with your finger and see if it’s too sticky for you. Keep adding activator until it’s not too sticky for you. If you over activate it and it doesn’t stretch anymore add some water, cream, or microwave it. If you’re unlucky like me, it might be too sticky again, so go activate it just a TINY bit more. Satisfied with your slime now? Put it in the airtight container, and be sure you don’t drop it on the carpet, and it should last a long time!

Slime tutorial time!

What you will definitely need:

•glue (has to be PVA glue. Elmer’s glue is the most used.)
• A type of activator (Borax, Eye contact solution, laundry detergent, etc)

Optional:
• Food colouring
For crunchy slime: you can put beads, gems, and anything in crunchy slime.
Fluffy slime: shaving cream

I only listed a few that I knew of, but there are many other types too! The optional ingredients will go along with the needed ones.

Okay. First of all, you have to get your ingredients ready, along with a bowl you don’t mind using. Keep in mind that the bowl you use would probably be contaminated with stuff that’s not edible. It may not be true, but just have a separate one for good measures. Second of all, you pour the glue in. Put as much as you want. The third step is to add some water and food colouring in. I personally skip the water step, but you could do it if you want to. I don’t think it really affects the outcome of your slime. If you’re making fluffy slime, add the shaving cream to your mixture as well. Last but not least, you add your borax water in. To make that, pour it into a cup that you don’t use, (because it would contaminate it. Same thing for the bowl.) and put the borax in. Mix it with hot water for it to dissolve. But be careful! Don’t put too much borax in all at once. I did that once, and the slime totally failed. It turned dry. Really dry. Mix it all up slowly, and once it forms into a clump, take it out and play with it slowly for it to be less sticky. That makes it easier to play with. For crunchy slime, add some stuff in it and mix it all in after or before the activator. It doesn’t really matter!

The easiest slime recipe:
Ingredients- Pva glue, (Elmer's preferred) Borax, (if you don't have borax, you can use tide or baking soda with contact lens solution) food coloring (optional)
1) pour pva glue into a bowl
2) add food colouring
3) mix all until it's one colour
4) add in your borax (make sure you add in water into the borax first!)
5) mix until a blob starts to form
6) when in is hard for you to stir, go in with your hands and start to break up the bigger clumps
done!
Tip: Make sure you keep it in an air tight container

So i cant do 2nd PAR so Im gonna bring it the pic on a USB today.

1. Get some dishsoap. (Use some good soap like Palmolive or Dawn)
2. get a container
3. Fill about half the container with dish soap
4. get a few pinches of brown sugar.
5. Fix very well
6. Leave for 2 days
7. Put in fridge for few hours
8. Should be done

The "Perfect" Slime!
The things you'll need for this activity are: 4oz bottle of Elmers glue, 1/2tsp of baking soda, food colouring (optional), about 1-2 tbs of contact solution, glitter (optional), fragrance oil (optional), and last but not least is baby oil (also optional). So the first thing you're gonna do is empty out about 1/2 cup of Elmers glue into a mixing bowl. Secondly, you're going to add in 1/2 teaspoon of baking soda into your mixing bowl. And then food colouring if you want, remember that the colour is your choice. So now you can start mixing! After you're done mixing you do a squirt of contact solution into the mix. And then stir it again, then repeat that 1 more time, and then BAM YOU GOT YOUR OWN SLIME! I forgot to mention this earlier but before adding in your activator (contact solution) you can add in glitter, or a fragrance oil to make it smell like something other then glue.

Today I will be teaching you how to make slime.
You need to get school glue, borax, food colouring (optional), water, and two bowls. First in one bowl mix about 1/4 of glue and 1/4 of water.
Add 1/4 cup of borax to the glue and water mixture and mix slowly.
Then, list some of the solution with the stir stick and observe how the consistency has changed from step 1.
After that, dig in with your hands until it gets less sticky.
Last but not least store the slime in a plastic bag to keep it growing from mold.
