SKILL 1: Rule of Thirds

Today, you had your final in class Social Studies Inquiry class to work on your projects. Make sure you follow the criteria closely so you can achieve success. Remember, if you have a great slideshow with good research, but you didn't include the core components of the criteria, you will be unable to achieve an applying or expanding assessment. Always pay attention to the learning intentions and success criteria.

In a short paragraph, explain the meaning of your photograph.

My grade 6 unhanded assignment:

This is a edit of the big bad wolf; the wolf being the victim of three mean bullies, which are pigs. Later in the story, as years passed, he got stronger, thus making Jessie, Dan, and Olive scared of him.

One bright afternoon in a mystical world, there lived three pigs, Jessie, Dan, and Olive. These pigs were known as ''violent bullies' at Ard elementary school. Every day, they would strike and kick small children; But they mainly targeted Ark, who was a wolf. Ark was a regular wolf, with black fur and yellow eyes. He was very knowledgeable, getting straight A's all the time. Sometimes, Ark was called the teacher's pet for being so smart, that even Jessie, Dan, and Olive got jealous. Ark's life consisted of punches and kicks and frequently got spat on throughout the days. Moreover, Ark was sometimes thrown paper airplanes at, and often got accused of it. Ark defined his life as 'wretched,' saying it was like heaven at home, where there stood no more bullies.

However, as the years progressed by, Ark got tougher and stiffer, and soon he could not handle it. Soon in grade 7, he realized he was not getting bullied anymore. Furthermore, he noticed that Jessie, Dan, and Olive were starting to sit far away from him. In grade 6, Jessie, Dan, and Olive were always on the same table group that he was in so they could torment him even more. However, now, that is not happening anymore. Ark knew that they were scared of him, so he thought it would be the perfect time to get revenge. On the corresponding day after the bell rang and the kids spewed out of the building, Ark waited there on the bench. He noticed he had something in his backpack that was hard. So he got up and opened his bag, and with a surprise, there was a baseball bat and a ball. He held the baseball bat and used it as his weapon. After that, he waited and waited continuously until Jessie, Dan and Olive walked out of the building laughing and having a great time.

Ark followed them until he saw a large field with few trees where there were three houses. Ark first went to Jessie's house which specifically was consisted with hay and resembled a tent. Ark then noisily banged on the door. Jessie silently cracked opened the blinds and glanced out the window, seeing the gruesome expression on the Ark's face and shouted: "Are you crazy? I will NEVER unlock that door!" Ark then struck and kicked the door with his baseball bat, and it collapsed down. Jessie ran like a cheetah toward Dan's house and yelled: "You will NEVER catch us!" Ark then fled across to Dan's house and saw that it was built out of sturdy timber, resembling a cabin. The Cabin was on top of a large bay of water, supported by four massive logs on each corner. Ark walked up the endless staircase and pounded and banged against the door with his baseball bat. Quickly, the door collapsed down and fell into the bay of water below, making a loud splash. The couple fled to Olive's house like a startled cartoon character. Ark, then proceeded to walk to Olive's house and saw the gray stone path and the beautiful green garden. Walking closer he saw that it was built out of dull concrete. The house had two floors with a large balcony on the second floor in a complex design. The door was constructed out of a mixture of precious metals, which he could not necessarily break. He then proceeded to climb on the roof and within the chimney where there was luckily no fire. He dropped down and noticed Jessie, Dan, and Olive lurking in a dark corner. Holding his baseball bat, he slowly approached them and said, "you're next."

Mirror

Multiplying me
I am inside them
Right in front of them
Right behind them
Outside of them
Reflecting light everywhere

This poem is an acrostic poem about mirrors and how they reflect light and my reflection, just like in the house of mirrors in an amusement park. There is imagery in the poem like when it describes me being in the mirror, in front of the mirror, behind the mirror and so on. The imagery makes people imagine me in the mirror.

There once was a student. He was really smart, but he was lazy. He always doesn't follow the criteria but he always scores good on tests. One day the teacher told him stop being lazy, your a smart kid but you mustn't be lazy. The boy disagrees was the teacher by saying that he was born to be lazy. The teacher was angry and told him to sweep the floor. While the boy was sweeping the floor he found a dark cup. He was very curious so he touched the cup. Then suddenly he got sucked into the cup and into a land fulled with magic.

I was going to write a story, but I didn't get any good ideas so.. Here is a lyric study of my favorite song in The Greatest Showman! This movie is awesome! Go check it out!

I close my eyes and I can see
The world that's waiting up for me

But it feels like home.
This song was sang by a little boy, to a young girl. The girl lives in a household that beholds lots and lots of money, and is taught manners, and things she should do. That makes her quite stressed and bored, but this boy wants to show her that there is a better world out there to explore. That's how he threw her into his world of imagination, making her life more vibrant than it was before. This makes me think about the child's imagination, and the alternate universe he thinks about. No one other than him knows the world he thinks about, and it's a world that he created in his head.

We can live in a world that we design
People may think that your dream sounds ridiculous. But don't let that break you down! You rule yourself. Others don't. Even though it might seem crazy and impossible.

I feel that this part is the most beautiful. Have you ever had a dream in which you want to pursue so bad that you can't sleep? If you did, don't worry! It happens to everyone. This part is telling us that so many colorful ideas pop up in his head. Making it hard to focus on reality. Not that it's a bad thing. It takes a million dreams to create a world that you want to live in, and I think that's the most important.

I'm sorry if this was low quality, but I really love this song. It's called A Million Dreams in the movie The Greatest Showman. I kind of rushed, and the many ideas in my head were kind of going cuckoo.. Making it confusing. Sorry!

The air got dense as I stepped through the doorway down to the basement. At that point I was wishing that my cat wouldn’t have ran down there. “Tinker!” I called with a bit of a shaky voice. I honestly found it kind of creepy down there. All of a sudden a pair of glowing eyes shone in the darkness. “Ahh!” I thought to myself while frozen. They seemed to be coming closer! As the eyes got closer I could start to make out white fur. “Wait a second… is that Tinker?” I thought to myself slightly relieved. As I was thinking, I heard a sudden meow. I giggled. He came up to me and I was quick to pick him up. “So it is you Tinker” I said to him while carrying him up the stairs. Once we got up I started to say, “Don’t do that ag…” but was interrupted by an immediate meow for food. I got the cat food out of the fridge. It smelled like rotten fish. “Bleh!” I thought to myself while pinching my nose. At least Tinker liked it. I decided to go back up to my room since I had some homework to finish up. I put on some Panic! At The Disco while working since they’re my favourite band. “If you love me let me go!” I sang. “Okay Nicole, stop singing you need to focus.” I told myself. It ended up taking me two hours just to do it! (To be continued…)

If I am going to write a free write , I gonna write about my most embarrassing moment when I was in the restaurant, that might be so funny to you , but I felt really embarrassing. And I won't forget it ever.
I remembered when I was around 7 years old , I had a buffet dinner with my family , I was actually so excited because I think that was the first time I ate buffet . When I went to the restaurant, I saw many food and I even saw a lot of desserts, and I was telling myself , I have to get this, this ,this ..... or even more , cause we need at least one person to sit down and look at our phone or backpack, make sure no one is stealing it. And my brother said he wanted to be the first one who took the food , so I waited . After that is my turn , I waited it for long time and I was really happy . I got a lot of food and when I wanted to go back to my sit , I suddenly slipped, I don't know why but I just slipped , the food got all on the floor . That time , all the people saw it and they are stirring at me , and the people started saying ' are you ok , are you ok ?' Some people were even shocked , and my cheeks started getting red . I was so embarrassing and my mum ran front of me and helped me to pick up all the food and she said ' sorry , my daughter was so careless ' and I smile .
After that time , I am really scared to eat buffet, and when ever people said the word ' buffet ' I will think about this and my cheeks will always got red. What was your most embarrassing moment, feel free to write it down.

Since I just got a haircut, I'll write about that.

I skipped home in the dark with my mom. I never want to walk outside at night by myself. Unknown things could be larking around. I looked up. I saw the moon providing such beautiful light. I finally decided to ask my mom to cut my hair once we came home. I felt today is going to be a great day to get a haircut. It's been a while since I had a haircut. I forgot what it feels like to have short hair. I went to the washroom and sat on the chair provided. I was nervous. If my mom cuts it too short, it'll take months for it to grow back. I remember in the past, I had a bob haircut which I hate. That's why I decided to grow my hair longer. My mom would always cut twice as much as I ask for. My mom took out a pair of scissors and... SNIP...SNIP...SNIP... She had done it... I looked at the mirror... OH MY GAWD.... ITS SOO SHORT. This feeling... I never had this feeling for so longg...Of course she cut twice as much as I ask for. It is only a bit longer than my shoulders. Wow...

My name is Kento and today my teacher told my class”So,as you all know today we are going on a field trip the the ancient haunted monument place where all of you will die screaming and crying-I mean we are going to go to an ancient monument where all of you will have FUN!”😃 said our teacher that morning.” The Dying Intention,I mean Learning Intention is to get killed-I mean learn more about ancient monuments.” What was wrong was Mr.Hong today?What are all the dark things he was saying about. “....Now I’ll divide you into three groups. The idiots the even more idiots and the most idiotic,I mean group one group two and group three,and group four. Oh yeah,to split you up in the groups that you will die in,let’s use a random number generator. (p.s. The random generator I used to generate the group kids (by giving each kid a random number and generating) http://numbergenerator.org ) LET’S SEE WHO YOU’LL MEET YOUR NASTY END WITH-I mean work collaboratively with heh.

Camp Latona. An amazing place, full of fun, adventure, overheating and terror. What? I didn't say anything...
Camp is lots of fun. We play games in the forest, we go kayaking, and the food is AMAZING ( And being gluten-free, good food is more difficult to come by). There were, admittedly, a few scary things though. The zip- lining tree was very high, however it was surprisingly easy to climb, (and this coming from someone who's never climbed a tree) and you are strapped in to a harness at all times. Our cabin also got invaded by ants, but we figured out that it was because the people in he cabin next to ours had this bug repellent thing that was chasing them all over to our cabin. Other than that there weren't that man bugs in the cabins.
Camp was so much fun, and I can't wait to share the experience with you! If you have any questions you can ask me or one of the other people who went last year. Trust me, there's nothing to worry about. You're sure to have a great time!

Random summary of one of the unfinished short stories that I’m writing. :3

Two people meet and don’t get along. They talk and realize they like each other’s friends. They try to work together to hook each other up but end up falling for each other.

Yea, that’s it. That’s actually all I have so far. I don’t exactly manage my time wisely so that end of the year goal is reasonable for me.

Have you every been sick before? Well for me, I'm sick right now. It's not as bad as the one I got before winter break, but still. Anyways, since today's PAR is a free-write, I am going to talk about how it feels to be me when I'm sick. (So.... I'm kinda dumb n' stuff, so I do stupid things like go outside without my hoodie when it's raining or drinking cold water when I'm sick, so I know why I get sick.) First off, I sound like a rat that has dust in it's neck. Like, I have voice cracks and I sound off. So people know when I might feel a little blue. Second, I look sick. As in wearing my blanket, looking down and not really talking. And lastly, I tell people that I feel a little under the weather. So ya, that's how I feel like when I'm sick
