IMPORTANT:
1.) READING: All students are expected to complete daily home reading and the post a response assignments on the class website.
LEARNING/PLANNER:
1.) READING: Read for 30 minutes
2.) MATH: Complete 3 simplifying/reduction fractions worksheets
3.) SCIENCE: Complete section 1 of your lab write-up.
4.) LA/NOVEL APPROACH: Complete visible thinking and graphic organizer for monitoring
comprehension.
5.) POST A RESPONSE:
- Watch this video on 'MONITORING COMPREHENSION'
- LEARNING INTENTION: I can explain what it means to monitor my comprehension.
SUCCESS CRITERIA:
1.) Paragraph format: intro/body/conclusion
2.) BODY: Includes at least 3 different things you can do to monitor your comprehension when
reading. YOU MUST INCLUDE 3 EXAMPLES OF HOW YOU DO THIS when you read. Be
sure to mention the M.C. tips you learned in class today (slow down, re-read, stop and think,
ask a friend, look it up in a dictionary, etc).
3.) EXAMPLES: Be sure to give examples of how you monitor your comprehension in your daily
life when you read or watch shows/movies, etc.
4.) SELF-ASSESSMENT: State if you feel you met the above criteria in one sentence after your
PAR.
5.) PEER FEEDBACK: Give one student feedback on their examples. Did they use real
examples from their daily life. It can be based on school examples.
6.) REVISION: post a revised version after you have made some improvements.
