Mr. Hong's Class - Mannequin Challenge

FINALLY! THE WEBSITE IS WORKING! What a relief! I hope you are all enjoying the beautiful weather this morning! Our class mannequin challenge has been posted. Click to the left or at the bottom to check it out. Have a wonderful weekend with your families!

1.) MATH:
- Complete worksheet #1 (Circumference calculations) and #2 (You do not have to do the AREA questions).
- Watch this story on 'Sir Cumference and the Dragon of Pie'

2.) POST A RESPONSE:

Write a 'STRUCTURED/ORDERED' paragraph about 5-8 sentences long. Use the paragraph you practiced with in class yesterday as a model paragraph. The paragraph used three transitions (Times of the day - Morning, Noon, and Afternoon). It also explained supporting details for each activity the students had planned for the day.
You may choose any topic you like as long as it follows the structure of the practice paragraph from yesterday's class.
Post any questions you have here.
Give two students suggestions for improvement.
Edit/revise your original post based on feedback or your self-assessment.

Hi I am James. [This is the name of the main character by the way]
I am a 13 year old kid going to my first day of high school and I am so excited. In the morning I go to math class which is one of my favourite classes. We will learn algebra in math class. At noon I go to Science class. I love science class because learning about how the universe became to real, Galaxies and a lot more is really cool.
My last class of the day will be gym which I dislike the most. I am not really an active kid but I give it my all and that all that matters.
This will be my routine for my first day of high school.
[ok this wont be my routine but its just a story soo.... yea?]

The Waffles

One Simple Day A 12 Year old boy named Jacob went to eat breakfast at 9:00 am. He went to eat his favorite Food Waffles. When He Fished his Breakfast he wanted more but Jacob dident want to be Fat. When he was done at 12:00, (Yea it took 3 hours) jacob went one his Computer and played with Amir and Zach we played until 10:00 Pm (That Was A long Gameing session)

Not Expecting The Expected

I got out of bed in the morning to go on my computer, then I realized I had to walk the dog every morning. At noon when I came back from walking the dog, I didn't have time to go on my computer or even turn it on because I had to prepare for eating.Then later when the sky got dark I was playing on my computer then I had to eat after that. When I finished eating I got back on my computer. When it was past 8:00 I had to go to sleep because I ain't aloud to sleep past 10:00.

This is not what I do and is not my daily routine also I cant sleep past 10:00.

One day, on a planet called Murth (Earth but different!) There was a girl called Ashley Dreemurr. Every single day, she had the same, boring routine. In the morning, she ate murthcakes and Orange slices. She ate 10 murthcakes a day (they are small 3 cm circumference) Then, she went to go see her pets, Cookie And Kiwi the Murthies. (Rats) The petted then and played with them for 10 minutes each morning. At noon, Ashley was at school learning fun and awesome lessons! But, she gets so tired because her alarm clock dose not work properly! >:T After she comes home from a fun, awesome day at school, she goes on her computer and checks the webside and plays roblox until she is told to go to bed at 9:30 pm

Dirty Dan and Pinhead Larys Christmas
(based of a real person)

It wasn't 2 days before it was Christmas. A cold and foggy night, the perfect day for the boys to wrap a present for the're arch enemy. Pinhead wasn't the smartest kid and he had an assignment from his class saying to bring a flash drive. Because he never brings anything to school, his teacher had to send a email to his daddy. His father was a responsible man who loved cheese and is rich. Mr. Lary went to the store and bought the bran-new flash drive with over 100 GB! He tossed it at Pinhead and it was safe in his jeans back pocket. The two boys were friends and there arch enemy was a mastermind. He created a motorcycle at the age of 7 with a bucket of scraps. They wanted to get him a big box that had another box inside and another one. Until the box would get wallet size they would insert a piece of coal and say boo ya in front of his face. They immediately started working over at Dirty Dan's garage because it had a nice table with tons of used boxes. Pinhead was the dumby with tight jeans and a $30 flash drive inside one of the pockets. He reached for the smallest box and put a rock and a note. He left it on the counter and went to the washroom. "I gotta do #1"
(3 minutes later)
"Back!" Pinhead sat on the chair accidentally knocking down the scissors. He bent over to pick it up. It was at that moment his jeans stole the spotlight and shot the flash drive into the tiny box with a rock flipping the lid over closing it while Dirty Dan was tying to tie his Velcro shoes... Pinhead grabbed the box sealing it with tape. And another box, and another until it was big as his head.

I am not going to even bother explaining what happen to those velco tied shoes people... xD

Title: Rubix Cube.

Hi I'm Logan,I went to rubix world 2 years ago and bought a rubix cube! The rubix cube is a very hard thing to master. I went on Google and looked up how to do it. All I saw were algorithms. So I pressed on it and I did the series of steps...U,D,LP,D,D,D.
And bam🔥 it was done,I was suprised it worked!!! I am now "21" years old and teaching people how to finish it!!

I hope this was good!!

~The Lost Necklace

Once upon a time, there was a girl named Angelica. It was 7:05 in the morning. Angelica woke up and cleaned her room. She went to the kitchen and made breakfast. After eating, she washed the plates and took a shower. In the afternoon, at 12:00, Angelica touched her neck and noticed that the necklace wasn't there! She looked everywhere for the necklace until it was 6:17 but she couldn't find it. Angelica decided that she's just going to find it in the morning. She ate supper, and got ready for bed. When she was lying down on her bed, disappointed that she didn't find her necklace, something hurt her on the back. She checked on it, and found her necklace! It fell down while she was sleeping! Angelica was so happy she found her necklace. She promised herself to never lose it again. The end.

Trip to Hong Kong
Today is the first day in Hong Kong. The first thing I did in Hong Kong was get out of bed and brush my teeth. I don't like to do this, because the place their was very small. But that didn't stop me from having fun. After, breakfast I went to my aunts place to play. The place was bigger then my grandmother's place, but was still small compared to my house in Canada. Anyways, when it was lunch time my aunt prepared some dim sum for lunch. It was the best. Then I had to say good -bye. When I got it wasn't late, because my aunt lives the next apartment over. So, I decided to play some batman ton at the court outside. Then, I came home for some dinner. After, that I took a shower,it wasn't the best, because the washroom was small, but it was worth it. Then I hopped in to bed and doomed off.zzzzzzzzzz.........................

Their is a lit kid named Shaan. Who likes to play soccer and likes to ankle break himself when he plays defense. One day in the mourning he decided to make breakfast at around 10:45 Am. It took him 40 minutes to make a pancake and eat. Then Shaan started to watch a soccer game that took 1 hour and 45 minutes so the time is 1:00 PM. Now it is the afternoon. Shaan decided to go to his friend's house to play fifa 17. We played 5 games that took 50 minutes now the time would be 2:00 PM Including me having to walk to my friends house. After we took a break and started to eat nachos that took 10 minutes. After we walked to my house and watched the other soccer game and the time is 4:05 PM. After that I took a nap, Because I was tired and because I went to sleep late. I woke up an hour later so the time was 5:05 PM. Then I practiced for the concert for 45 minutes. After I helped around the house, Because it was clean up day. I vacuumed around the house that took 30 minutes, So the time was 6:20 PM.Now at night we ate dinner that took 10 minutes and I had to wash the dishes, Because it was my turn that took 10 minutes more. Now the time is 6:40. Then I started to practice soccer for an hour and 20 minutes. I started to watch more T.V for 30 minutes, And now the time is 8:30 PM. Then I took a shower that took 10 minutes. Then I played Pokemon moon trying to complete the Pokedex that took 30 minutes. Now the time is 9:10 PM. Then my mom said "to go to sleep."I didn't go to sleep so I played games on my phone for 30 minutes, But my mom caught Shaan so he actually went to sleep. Shaan went to sleep at 9:40 PM.

This is a true story of me, And I estimated the time.

Strawberry Cake

This morning, I noticed my big brother putting a strawberry cake in the fridge. I quietly sneaked into the fridge to see how the cake. Wow! It looks good! This must be the new cake in the cafe. Without thinking, I bit on the cake and start eating it. The only thing I was thinking that time was just cake. After that, I laughed so evilly I almost choked myself... Around afternoon, I did the chores in the house. I cleaned the living room, bathroom, kitchen, etc. While my bro had to attend to a basketball game. Nighttime passed by so slowly. I'm so sleepy... Anyways, he still didn't know it was gone. When I looked at the clock, it's already 10 p.m. It's bedtime~! I was thinking I might be able to say sorry to him tomorrow for eating the cake. Hehe.

(Based on a real event on Friday)

There once was a kid name harry he would laugh at everything,well kind,One day when he woke up to get ready for school,he felt like today was going to be a good day.When Harry arrived a at school he later met up with Larry his friend.After a minute the school bell rung,and everybody ran to line up.When all the of Harry's classmates came into the classroom they went to do some math.WAIT THIS SEEMS KIND BORING DONT YOU THINK?LETS SKIP TO HE FOOD PART.At the end of lunch Harry seemed a little pissed of at Larry because he was saying Harry was a cheater at TAG.When Richard walked up against the stairs when we were not supposed to,Harry told the supervisor that Larry was on the stairs,the supervisor said "GET DOWN NOW"!Larry was like "ok" in a innocent voice.Harry laughed so hard that he couldn't breathe,after about 5 minutes Harry finally stopped laughing.In his head Harry was like to day was a good day.

Hi my name is Avy and about 2 months ago I want to Toronto Ontario, the first day I was at Toronto we want to Niagara Falls, at Niagara Falls we want to the arcade games and the Falls obviously, when we want to the arcade we want on a 6d movie the moview was really fun but I got a headache after the ride we want to play some games and I won only 2500 points,from the games I bought a teddy bear after that I want to the falls , the Falls was really nice,the view was wonderful but when I want to Niagara Falls before but on the Buffalo side it wasn't the best view but after that we want ln the mini golf course and had some funny, then we want to the haunted house it was so scary B3casue they were actually touching me when we got out of the haunted house we want home.

Hi I am hamed I am 13 years old it is my first time at the high school my first class was math that went pretty well the next class I was nervous because people were saying that the teacher is really mean but for me it went well after that we ate lunch then I had PE which I wasn't a big fan of but I still had to do it then we had a cooking class then we went home

First thing this morning I woke up to dogs in my face it was AMAZING to see them so playful early in the morning. Later that day in the afternoon I took my dogs for a walk at the dog park. While we were there they played fetch with all the other dogs. That evening after they had their dinner they fell asleep. they must have been so tired from playing all afternoon. It could have been all the turkey they ate too!

at the morning we lined up at the front of the school. We went in to the school and we put our backpacks away and got chairs and sat done at our desks and listen to the mic to go on. Mr.Moreli to go on the mic. First he puts music on for us. And then we go on the website and see who posted on the website and who didt will go to homework club. Then we do math on math we are doing circles for math. Some times Mr.Hong lets us catchup on work. Then at 10:00 AM we go outside to have fun and play outside. We come back inside and eat a snack. After we have a snack we so L.A. After L.A. we go the the gym at 10:45 we go to the gym and play basketball. After gym at 11:15 we come back to class and catchup with work. At 11:45 we have lunch after lunch at 12:00 we go outside to play. Then we read books. After reading we do more work them at 2:00 we go home.

in the morning we listen to the anouncements when Mr Hong dances. It makes me laugh. He looks so joyful in the morning. Every day he is really happy to see us and to see that were all such a wonderful class. It makes me happy to be at school because its so calming. At recess we usually go out side but since its so icey so we can't play anything . In the evening we usally go home but before we do we usually pack up.

The Lonely Dragon

On a planet far far away called murf(I got the idea from jasmine)
There lived a lonely dragon called Vulcan he had the same boring routine EVERY SINGLE DAY. In the morning he would hunt for food like deer,sheep, or bison, after that he would fly around looking for some reason to go back, and at dawn he would eat dinner example the sheep, then when it got dark he would go to sleep.

One day i remember waking up from sleeping and my sister came into my room saying "Murder mystery 2 got a Christmas update!!". I was so excited because I knew that there was gonna be a update I just didn't know the date.I grabbed my IPad so quickly so I can see it for my self when I went inside the game I couldn't go inside because the game is trending it's super popular the only thing that was showing up on my screen was "connecting" my sister saw the same thing on her screen so she went to the creators twitter he said the only reason it says "connecting" is because there's to much people playing me and my sister had to wait to go inside.once the game finally let us in me and my sister saw all the knew knifes and how cool they where. After we crafted some of our knifes we got such rare stuff :) I was really happy.

It was about 8:35 in the morning and I was with my family going to the pool. As we were walking in the pool the life guards were telling us the rules for the pool. After we got changed and raced to the pool. We played for around 2 and a half hours and it was break time . As we headed out the life guards told us that we could come back at 1:30 so we waited . I were about to leave when the gates open and now it was 1:35 in the afternoon . We all dropped our stuff and ran to the pool . As I was running (when were not sapposed to be running). I nearly tripped and cut open my knee . But I only scratched it . I still went in the pool tho. After that we went home .This was around 3:00. I was really tired.

SWISH!! As the ball went into the hoop the crowd goes wild! People were cheering for the Clevland Cavaliers beating the Goldenstate Warriors by 1 point! (Not really true though.) The whole stadium was like a fury a exploding fire crackers. Just as I realized once the game was over it was past my bedtime.

"WHAT?!?!?! ITS 2:00 AM !"
I yelled.

"OH MY GOSH MY SLEEP SCEDULE IS SCRAMBLED NOW!"
I yelled again.

I went straight to bed after the game to catch on some sleep. After a few minutes I started to have a nightmare.... It was so scary and horrifying. It was about Steph Curry breaking LeBron James' ankles. It was so Menacing to even watch it. By the time I woke up it was 6:00 AM. As the sunlight woke me up.... the end.

#2 (Basied on a true story)
One early morning 4:30 I was having a lovely sleep , then I got woken up to " BANG,BANG,BANG,BANG..... I got a shock and woke up almost crying . My family and I ran to the furthest room from the living room and the door ( older sisters room). We ran in and she was still sleeping . Our parents told us to wait in the room and close the door . We waited and waited until my mom came in and said" for now you have to stay here ". We took a short nap till around 5:35 and we heard police Syrians .The police asked my parents questions and invensigating . It was now 8:50 and they found out it was a drive by shooting. Later in in the after noon I got exited to tell everybody what happened.When It was almost time to go to bed I couldn't because I was tramitized. It was the scariest day of my life.

Daily routine (weekdays)
Ever morning when I wake up I sit there and think about life and how my future will turn out. Then I brush my teeth and normally I shower at night but I sometimes shower in the morning also. Then I grab my bag pack it with all the things I need for that day and leave the house. In the afternoon around 12:00 we play outside for lunch after lunch we return to the class room and we learn and work. After school I normally stay and hangout with my friends. After that I walk home. And my sleep for about 3 hours and after I wake up again finish my homework and shower. After I shower I hangout for a little bit then I brush my teeth and head to bed.

"OW!!" My little sister kicked me off the bed while she was sleeping "WAKE UP!!", " we get to got to the lake today so get up " she jumps up saying REALLY !!! she changes hurry's and runs to the bathroom brushes her teeth ,my brother is already putting the bags in the car , my mom is still changing ,packing ,and getting us organized i'm already ready. When we are in the car my mom realizes that we need to eat so we go to . . . Mc Donalds we are in the car for longer than 3 hours once we are there my brother pushes me into the lake
