Yesterday was day 1 of the final stage of the Novel Approach. Your background knowledge on reading strategies and the learning process has increased from the beginning of the year! Now, is your time to shine and to display your knowledge and abilities! I am incredibly proud to be your teacher! Yesterday, you showed me a true display of the 4'C's of 21st Century learning - collaboration, creativity, critical thinking, and communication. You created C-Charts and daily expectations for your online book clubs on TEAMS. Way to keep one another accountable! You are taking true OWNERSHIP of your learning! This is what it is all about!!!! #TheLearningNeverStops!!!

IMPORTANT:
1.) READ the entire daily blog post carefully. I will be giving you pop quizzes randomly on any given day to ensure you are doing this.

SHAPE OF THE DAY:

1.) MATH:

Upload previous days (mid-chapter review) completed work (marked/corrected).
Complete/Mark/Correct 6.5 Subtracting Integers Using Counters #1-12
Review yesterday's lesson on teams if you need to review (Video posted in math channel)

2.) LA/WORD WORK:

Complete 1 more section for Word Work based on the various activities (refer to Criteria sheet)
Be sure to complete at least 1 section a day this week to avoid not completing it on time.
Upload each section as you complete them.

3.) LA/READING (NOVEL APPROACH:

Based on the expectations and C-Chart your book club group created, complete the assigned work for tomorrow. We will have our first book club

4.) PE:

Note: You must log your daily physical activity on FreshGrade according to the criteria (pic/video, resting/active heart rate, and information about what you did and how much energy you exerted). An example of a daily PE comment post will be modelled in the morning lesson.

Today's PAR will be evaluated on FreshGrade. This PAR will take some time if you have not been keeping up with your daily FG updates. Parents will be contacted this evening if you do not complete this.

4.) I have posted a comment explaining why and when I will submit my work if I have any outstanding assignments or incomplete assignments.
5.) I have posted learning reflections for each learning activity on FreshGrade.
6.) I have posted and responded to comments/questions in all TEAMS channels I am part of.
7.) I have submitted my work on FG and also on TEAMS (Word work #1, #2, and Sway presentation on Digital Photography).
8.) I have posted a paragraph here explaining how I will ENSURE I keep my FG and TEAMS updated on a DAILY basis.

Everyday, students wake up to do online school. Check their homework, class website, ect. But, sometimes students oversleep or forget to do their work. I would be an example of that, sometimes forgetting to check fresh grade (Fg), the class website and occasionally oversleep. So, I came up with strategies to help me remember to check teas, fg and the class website. To prevent this from happening again, I would put it on reminders or write it on my calendar. This will help me, since I always check my calendar and putting it on reminders on a certain time, can remind me when I forget. Next, I can bookmark the tabs fg, teams and par so when I open Chrome, I can instantly see what I need to check. I’m usually forgetful, and I’m on my computer a lot so that will help me. That’s all I could really think of that would help me, hopefully this will help me remember to check-in and upload my work, s I wouldn’t get a bad mark and so I can get feedback to improve my work.

Due to the Covid-19 outbreak, schools have been closing down, and switching to online teaching. Is it better? Is it worse? I won't judge that, but the goal doesn't change. We still have to submit our work on websites daily to show we are present, and had completed the assignments. Sometimes, I do forget to submit some assignments, so how do I ensure I keep my FG and class websites updated daily?
First, I will write time tables everyday after the "Teams" meeting ends, therefore I can arrange my time, and complete all the work on time. Secondly, I will do the assignments due first, such as daily PARs, math assignments, etc. Then, I will do the work due later. However and lastly, don't wait until the last minute until you do the work, since you would rush through the work, submit the work late, and get a bad grade. These are the ways how do I ensure I keep my FG and class websites updated!

We have certain things that we must keep up to date every day. Those things are important and I have a way to do all of them in an orderly fashion. First, I wake up at around 8:00am and I either check the website or eat breakfast and then check the website. After I see the website and eat breakfast, I check microsoft teams and I do any work assigned if I can. At 10:00 we have our daily morning check in. After that I do the rest of the work assigned and post it on freshgrade. I also check to see if there is anything else that I need to update. Ater I am done with my school work I am free. I do my best to stay by this schedule and I hope I can continue on this path because I am getting basically all of my work done before 3:00pm.

We are al stuck home because a wild disease is rampaging all around and we have to get education in a another way. The other way is to do everything virtually. Since our teacher can not check or make sure we did everything, the honor system must some into play, and we must tell our Mr. Hong that we have completed everything required.

The first and most important thing is the daily blurb. I read everyday to get a feel for what's going to happen toady and what the work is going to be. Without reading the daily blurb , I'll be stumbling around blind until someone enlightens me. I hat not knowing what's going to happen I remind myself everyday to read the daily blurb.

Secondly, I have logged in to my FG every two days to check for any updates and feedback. Every time I see a comment I try my best to understand it and post a response based on the comments.

I have not been late to post any work yet, but if I do I will make sure I post a reason. I will do that by reminding myself, or my parents might remind if it was a family occasion.

I have gotten quite used to posting learning reflections on freshgrade and I make sure if a activity requires a learning reflection, I will attach a learning reflection.

Furthermore, I like to keep one tab open for teams until 3:00, so I don't miss out on any last minute important information. I check the teams channels every once in a while to see if I need to reply to someone or if I missed something and need to complete it. I do a check after I complete my work to see if I posted everything. I have already posted, Word Work 1 and 2 with my Sway presentation on both Freshgrade and Teams.

Finally, I have posted a paragraph stating that I have finished everything and you can confirm that by reading this paragraph. I use a list and checkmark all the stuff I completed to make sure I miss nothing.

In this time student must keep up date every day. First I wake up around 8:00 I go to check the class website and I go to eat breakfast. After I go to the Microsoft teams to see if there are some work that I can do. At 10:00 is the morning check in I always write some important stuff on the paper. In 10:45 our meeting is finish so I go to do the work that is post on the class website after that I post my work on Fresh-grade and class website. Around 4:00 I finish all my work then I can take a rest. I will do my best to update class website and Fresh-grade every day.

Covid-19 has affected all of us. It's changed our schedule and lives, But we still have school.

First I wake up at 7:30 to eat breakfast. Then i check the the website at 9:00. After I go on teams and wait until 10:00. When it is 10:00 I join the meeting. When the meeting is over I do the assigned work and check freshgrade. When it's 3:00 school ends and I go back to my regular schedule.

Tha's what I do everyday now.

Coronavirus has forced all of us students to do "learning from a distance". to do this we must participate in class calls and discussions to make sure we know what we need to do.

I wake up at 8:30 to make sure that I can prepare my things for the day. I am a VERY heavy sleeper so i BLAST the radio that goes off on my alarm to help wake me up. After that I don't usually eat breakfast, but i check my phone and check the class website. Then at 10:00 am, i join the teams call. To help me remember about the call, I set an alarm for 9:55 on my phone so that i can remember. Then i complete the daily work for the day and usually finish by 2:00 or 3:00. I usually practice my football with my dad or sister, then i either have dance or i go on a walk with my mom or sister.

This is my every day schedule and i think it helps having a schedule because it gets you used to doing the same things.

Schools are an important part of education, but if the schools are closed. How can we get the education needed? The answer? Virtual learning! But one con is that the teacher isn't reminding us to do our work. So how can I ensure I keep my freshgarde and teams updated on a daily basis? Today I'm going to tell you.

Firstly I check the website everyday, sometime around nine. This gives me information on what we are doing, and what to submit on freshgrade. After we have our morning check in at ten. These check ins give key information, so I make sure I don't miss it. Next work on some homework and upload things on freshgrade. Occasionally I take breaks. Mostly I get all work done at four. Also I check teams once in a while to see if they are any questions or things to.

I believe that I can keep my FG and Teams updated daily because I will always set aside some time in the day to review, add documents, comments, learning reflections, or to give peer feedback. I have found it very useful to have these applications on my phone so that it's easy to access them. I also like to have them open on my computer on separate tabs so that I can easily switch from one to the other. At times, it is still challenging to keep track of what to do where, and setting time aside but I am slowly feeling more comfortable with these many platforms.

The world has been panicing about COVID-19 schools are shut down countries are completely shut off lots of bad stuff. Scince our school is closed we have resourted to online school and with online school we need a way to hand our work in we use Freshgrade and Office365 teams the ways I can make sure to update my Freshgrade and Teams I can make sure to read the Daily blurb CAREFULLY so I dont miss anything important. I can also set reminders that alert me to check teams/Freshgrade. I can orginize my tabs to have school stuff in one section and my random stuff on the other side.

With the outbreak of COVID-19, we have started learning on teams and freshgrade. However, since it is much easier to forget assignments when you're at the comfort of your home, there should be rules and expectations established so this won't happen.

One method I use is to set reminders to finish work, as well as set a time to review my homework and organize when to finish it. Having a plan helps me feel more motivated to finish work on time. However, I sometimes procrastinate and leave work to the last minute.
It is quite easy to forget an assignment, or simply miss it all together, which is why I find it helpful to check all my platforms to make sure I don't have any homework I missed. Taking a portion of time to check all platform helps a lot, as you can see peers and teachers talking about an assignment you missed or forgot about.

With this pandemic, it is important you always try to keep up with your work since social distancing is quite a big change from what we're used to.

With the current pandemic known as Coronavirus all of us have to learn from home to keep each other safe that means we learn online for all of our work. I’ll tell you some strategies I have to keep on top of work.

I set timers because I easily get distracted and want to make sure I’m on top of things. I go through fresh grade with my mom to make sure I finished everything and uploaded it and seeing any new comments. I write a list of thing I expect of myself to get done in a day so I have a goal.Once I think I finished I read the criteria to make sure I have completed everything.I check teams for any new assignments I have to complete. I put away distractions so I don’t get side track from my homework.

Learning from home isn’t always easy but with these strategies I can keep on track of my work.

Since the coronavirus outbreak has gotten even worse, all schools have closed, and we resort to online classes, and our learning has changed a whole lot, and assignments are also a part of the change. A schedule helps us get used to the new normal.

First, I wake up at 9:30 am to eat breakfast. I go on the class website and on teams after I finish to check things out, and wait until we start calling. After the call ends, we eat lunch and I do some work, and that's my schedule.

The coronavirus has plagued our world and now, everyone is stuck inside. Schools are shut down, entire countries are going into quarantine and airports are desolate. Although school has been shut down, that doesn't necessarily mean that school cannot continue. Now with online schooling, it's a whole new system. Instead of handing in work in person, we send in work digitally, through the use of freshgrade. With this new system comes with new habits we have to make, like checking freshgrade, teams, an the website daily. Not only is this so much more important now but it's how we'll be graded from now until who knows when. We also have to respond to comments and feedback, now that we are all stuck at home it's much more easy to give and receive feedback but so much easier to forget about it and not respond. We need to remember to check and respond to feedback to maintain good work ethics. With this new schooling system, education will be very much more different. As the school system changes we have to change with it.

Due to Covid-19, everyone is forced to adjust to a new way of living. We must practise social and physical distancing to slow the spread of this virus, now children and teenagers must stay at home and learn from there.

I wake up at 8:15 usually and I’m always exhausted because I sleep really late and my body just always wakes up early. I brush my teeth then eat breakfast. I usually log in to TEAMS around 9:15 and just leave my computer on and set a new tab to do past work that’s due later on, I have a reminder for 9:50 too go on to TEAMS and wait for the morning check-in. After the morning check in I look on the website and write down the new homework onto a checklist. This homework checklist helps me see what homework I need to finish, plus I like to mark off what I finished. From 9:00-1:00 I do my homework. Usually by 1:00 I start doing my exercise and daily reading. Throughout the day I help my mom with cooking and cleaning, we also play board games after so that I can relax after a long study period. It’s only around 4:00 that I can do what I want to do. I check fresh grade constantly for things I need to update, from time to time I have technical difficulties copying links or accessing folders and provided links but it all works out somehow later on.

This is my schedule for everyday and is what I do at home in self isolation.

Since schools have been closed dues to covid19 everyone has had to make some adjustments in their lives and one of then involves how and where we learn. since we are not physically aloud to go to School we try to learn on an online platform. these are some things that I complete on a daily basis to help my online learning.

firstly, I get out an electronic device when I right when I wake up to ensure I am ready with my questions during morning check in. Next I log onto freshgrade to respond to any comments mr.hong has left, later that day when I have read and exercised I log it on freshgrade. I also do my best to always either post a comment on freshgrade or email mr.hong if my work is going to be late. I have post a brief learning reflection for when I read or exercise, I have yet to do so on the map but I am going to. I have responded to any questions or comments that I am aware of. I have uploaded the work that I could to teams, I have uploaded completed work to freshgrade (except for the paper portion of my word work because I lost the note book I did it in.) ik will;l also do my best to ensure that I keep up with freshgrade, teams and the class website on a daily basis

This new “Coronavirus” has really changed the way we live, especially being the change of doing our work at home and through the internet. Now because of this new change, it is a lot easier to forget to do our assigned work, so we probably should have a schedule on when or what we should be doing.

When I wake up I make sure I have finished the day before’s work, and also check the class website and join the meeting. Right after our teams morning meeting, I try to complete most of the work given to us, usually it being math and word work. I try to do these first because they are the ones usually to post on FreshGrade or to be honest I would just do any of the more simple homework. I am trying to keep updated on FreshGrade and teams, and posting and commenting as well, but sometimes I get a bit lazy and leave stuff to do later, which is something I recommend not doing. FreshGrade and teams is very important for us at this time, mainly because it’s how we stay connected and hand in our completed work, I ensure to finish all the daily work and post it on FreshGrade as soon as possible. The afternoon is usually when I would do physical education and reading. I check teams and FreshGrade in the morning and night, sometimes a lot of homework can be a a bit annoying and tiring, but I try my best to complete everything before dinner so I can relax in the evening and play video games with my friends.

The new school system is a bit difficult to adapt to, but we will have to go with it and complete all assignments.

Due to the coronavirus, all schools have been shut down. To keep up with our learning, our class has been communicating on Microsoft teams and the class website. With our new learning environment, it can be hard to stay focused and complete assignments on time.

One way I stay on top of your work is by making a work plan. Every morning, I like to plan out my day. I find this helpful with procrastination. With my plan, if I procrastinate, my whole schedule will be pushed back. I can also keep track of what assignments I need to do.
Another way I keep track of assignments is constantly checking Microsoft Teams, the class website, and Freshgrade.
Also when going through assignments I read it carefully so I don’t miss anything. Sometimes there can be a lot of text explaining the work, which can be easily misread. This is why its good to always reread instructions.

In conclusion, learning in a new environment can be hard, but when following these suggestions, it can be a lot easier.

Covid-19 has forced us students to stay home and learn. Due to the fact that we don't the virus to spread. I have been spending my time at home for over a month now but 3 weeks doing school work given from Mr. Hong. To help me and my learning, I have a little routine to help my learning.

In the morning, I wake up at 9:25 well a lot earlier than that because I have a habit of waking up early and than going back to sleep and then waking up and so on. This normally happens a few times. I mostly wake up at 6:00 but my alarm is at 9:25. Most of the time I stay in bed because I am too tired to move so I have another alarm at 9:50 so I know that I should make my breakfast, bring it upstairs, turn on my computer and you know the usual stuff on teams(this happens very often). Next I just have my enjoyment after the meeting until lunch which comes around 12:00-13:15. After that the most boring stuff most students hate. Homework. The only thing I enjoy is reading. During the weekends, I like to read in the mornings because I feel like I have more stamina to read then at night where most people like to read. Most of the time I get interrupted and I keep forgetting to record it. Anyways at 15:00 I have my break until like 5:15~. I take a shower around that time and then during the weekdays, I start reading during that time for like 30 MINS- 1 HOUR. Well I just until read until dinner is ready. After dinner is homework. For most of the time I finish until 21:00. At 21:00 I usual have my last time to enjoy on my computer until I go to bed around 21:30-22:00.

Although staying at home for a month is quite boring. Homework entertains me in an ok way. I just prefer watching YouTube, playing video games and reading. I will try my best to keep up with all the posting on Fresh Grade and I will post a message if I will turn in my homework late to Mr. Hong.

Becuase of the coronavirus, all schools have been shut down. To keep up with our learning, my class has been using Microsoft teams and the class website to connect. With this new way of learning, it can be hard to stay focused and remember to do everything, so I made strats. One of them is making a list of everything I need to do everyday. This makes it clear what I have done， what I did not do yet， and also I won‘t forget to do anything。

Due to Covid-19 all of our schedules have changed. Despite this it is still important to stay on top of your work. To keep me from literally dying from homework, I have a schedule I`ve set.
I wake up at 0900 sharp and check the website and teams. I then eat breakfast and brush my teeth. At 1000 I get in the call and listen until it ends. At 1300 I eat lunch. At 1400 i continue homework until finished, usually at 1500 or 1530. Afterwards I do PE related things for maybe 30 to 65 mins. If there is anything i have to do for things i do outside of school i do it after that. Then i just do whatever i feel like doing until 1900 when i read. Then i just do more random stuff until i sleep which is not a fixed thing.
in conclusion quarantine sucks, online school sucks, and covid 19 sucks. Also maintaining a schedule is important.

Due to the coronavirus, school has been canceled and changed to online school. In order to complete our work and learn new things from the teacher, we need to stay active on the class website, Teams, and Freshgrade. In order to update my Freshgrade and Teams daily, I have both tabs open on my computer 24/7. I check and update both right after completing an assignment to see if I fulfilled the criteria, or to ask questions and give or take feedback. However, it is easy to miss information or accidentally skip something online, so it is important to make sure I always read everything super carefully and multiple times a day.

Staying on top of my workload is essential for success. Yes, I'm aware that this is quite hypocritical. To improve the management of my work, I will start working from regular school hours. I will also ensure I finish everything by checking all learning platforms daily and ignoring distractions. With this in mind, I will also make sure FreshGrade and Teams are up to date. To sum up, I will push myself to get back on track.
