Aerial View of Hillcrest (Google Maps) Today, students learned about the importance of using criteria to assess their own work. Students used a checklist to see if they included the necessary elements in their body paragraphs. Tomorrow, students will dive even deeper in the learning process and start making their first edits and revisions to their writing.
1.) Math 6: Any assigned work.
Math 7: Complete #7-13 of 3.4 MATH FOCUS 7
2.) POST A RESPONSE:
to add these to a new layer called, 'CONTINENTS'. Use a different symbol/colour from your
legend that you have not yet used. Be sure to also label these markers with the 'NAMES' from
the drop down menu.
2.) Also, add at least one famous landmark located on each of these continents. You
can add these to your 'LANDMARKS' layer, however, you should assign these landmarks a
different symbol that you can choose from your legend. You may use the same symbol you
used before, if you use a different colour.
3.) Post a visible shared link to your map here. (NOTE YOU SHOULD BE ABLE TO ADD A MAX
OF 5 LAYERS!)
DON'T FORGET TO TO #4 AND 5 BELOW!
4.) Post one interesting fact about each of the 7 continents. (NOT JUST THE LANDMARKS)
Do your best not to post the same facts that other students mention. Try to find interesting and
unique information.
5.) You must include the different sites that you obtained your information from. You will likely
include one site for each of the seven continents. You may also watch this video, however, if
someone has already posted some information from it, you need to find other interesting
information about the continents.
