Roy Lichtenstein inspired art

Today, students reviewed the learning intentions and the criteria for their Roy Lichtenstein inspired artwork. They incorporated their poetic device (onomatopoeia) into their images and exaggerated them by using different effects learned in class. Students will focus on using techniques that are characteristic of

IMPORTANT: (WE NOW HAVE ENOUGH DRIVERS!! THANK YOU TO THE PARENTS WHO VOLUNTEERED THIS WEEKEND! Shammer and Tristan!!!!! :-) )

We will be going to the Fleetwood Swimming pool on Monday afternoon to participate in our water polo program.

Parents who are driving (Caleb, Kaitlyn, Ethan L., Sarah, and
Jenna), please be in the school by 12:50pm at the latest. We need to leave the school at 1:00pm at the latest so we can be in the water by 1:30pm.
Students, please ask your parents if they can drive and email me directly to let me know how many students they can drive and I will reply to you to confirm.

1.) LA/ART:

Complete your onomatopoeia drawing and be sure to fine line it.
We will work on the colouring style in class on Monday.
Google Roy Lichtenstein
Follow your criteria sheet carefully. If you forgot it at school, post a message and someone can put it up for you.
You must use the Roy Lichtenstein style of art.

2.) MATH 6: Complete Chapter 7 Lesson 7 questions from the textbook.
MATH 7: Math Sheet - Lowest Common Denominator

3.) POST A RESPONSE:

You have been working on inferencing few few days now. You have all learned that inferencing is reading between the lines. In other words, what is the author saying to you but hasn't actually written it down or said it?
Don't forget that your inferences must be based on your background knowledge and facts that you can gather from the picture below.

@Mr. Hong - I am not going to do my otomatepeia art digitaly Mr. Hong. I found a app sketchbook and it works pretty well but I can't find anything that will make it look cool, however I am going to use a technique to make it look digital.

@Gooner - make sure you follow the criteria for eg. #2 is saying what TIME of day not what WEATHER. Another example is 5 says list 2 things. You also need to take a close look at the picture because it is a snowboarder not skier. 4 is saying if you where 5 feet from this person what will you hear? A cry? A grunt? A scream? Also make sure you back up your reasoning for 3. Good job overall.

4.) I think you could've heard a scream if he hit the ground hard. Or you could've nothing.

1: I think it's winter because that's when you get the most snow.

2: It should be around noon or just before because it is sunny out and it's bright.

3: I think he fell because of how the snow is flying away from him.

4: I would probably hear like a crash type thing like that sound when snow falls together.

5: I think that since he is on a ski mountain you would probably see like a tree and a skiier since he is on a ski/snowboarding mountain I'm assuming.

1) I think it is winter because there is snow.

2) I think it is a little before night because the sky is a darker and deeper blue than usual.

3) This person is on the ground because it looks like he was snowboarding on his heel edge and the suddenly hooked his toe edge in the snow which causes a face plant.

4) I probably would have heard maybe a grunt or groan when he fell because it probably hurt but it would be hard to actually here him fall because when you fall on snow it doesn't really make a noise.

5). A camera because someone had to take the picture and a person because someone had to be holding the camera.

@Everyone - I am going to take a break from programming Galaxy Run everyone! In the meantime I am going to program a painting application that allows you to draw and choose whatever color you like! That is set to come out in a few days or the max a week because it is fairly simple for me to program. HOWEVER Galaxy Run is still going to come out soon and I will continue to work on these two projects!

I am really sorry about the delay for all of you guys that are anxious for it, with school, homework, busy life, you know its hard for me to finish. I also will tell you this I am NOT the fastest programmer at all so I'll try and improve in those aspects.

1.) I think this is winter. I know this because I know snow falls in the winter.

2.)I think it is past noon because the sky is pitch blue it is not to dark.

3.) The person is on the ground because the person fell, probaly because the snow is slippery. I know this because I remember playing with snow when I was younger.

4.) I would probaly here a grunt or something. The reason I think that is the snowboarder looks quite expierenced if it wasn't an expiernced snowboarder I will probaly here a scream of something of that sort.

5.) A camera and a mountain because you need to snowboard on a mountain and if you have a picture you need a camera to take it.

P.S. I started coloring my art I thought ALL of it was due on Monday but I did not finish.

Most of the wesite was mae using html code so if you are wondering how I did specific things feel free to ask me. Html is a very easy code you can learn in like 10 minutes and there are LOTS of online tutorials and videos!

1) I think it is winter because there is snow and it looks cold.

2) I think it is about 12:00 pm because the sky is not dark yet.

3) This person is probably on the ground because when he tried to make a flip or 360 he didn't jump high enough and wiped out.

4) I would've heard a grunt, moan, cry, scream because maybe he broke his leg.

5). A snowboard and a mountain. A snowboard to snowboard down the mountain and the mountain to snowboard down.

In this picture I think it is Winter because there is snow and it only snows in the Winter. I think it is around 12:00 because in the picture it looks nice and sunny. I think this person was snowboarding and bailed because he was on the ground and there was snow in the air. I think if I were 5 feet away I would have heard an OW! because the man could have hit the ground hard. I think there may be trees around because he is snowboarding and usually people snowboard on a mountain and mountains have trees on them. I think there could have been a camera because they would not be able to take this picture if there wasn't a camera.

2. Looks around noon to me because the picture is bright and it looks like day in the background.
3. I think maybe when he stopped he tipped forward and started a long painful journey down, down, down the mountain because he was on his face.
4. I think I would have heard a painful "bbrrusss" sound but I don't know how to say this word.
5. Probably a person because how else would they have gotten a picture and a camera because humans can't take pictures with there minds and put it online.

4. I think I would of heard snow rustling and the person screaming. I think this because well, if it was me I would be screaming and rolling in the snow because something like this happened to me before.

5. There would probably be other people around where he is or a ski lift. I think there would be a ski lift because usually when you go skiing when you get to the bottom you go again so you use a ski lift. And there is usually employee s around to manage the ski lift.

2.) I think it's 8:00 am in the morning because the sky is bright blue and the snow is really bright white (probably from the sun).

3.) I think that this person fell from not landing a black flip carefully because some people try doing all sorts of different flips and they don't land it.

4.) I will probably hear laughs from his/ her friends because some people do laugh at there friends from not landing right. I will also hear an OW! Because maybe that person hurted himself/ herself.

5.) I think that there might be a crowd watching this person because maybe he is a professional snowboarder and he's doing a race. I also think there are other people snowboarding because I know that lots of people go on a mountain to ski and snowboard.

I think that it is around 2:00 because the sun is shining and the sky is light blue. He is on the ground because I think he fell off his snowboard. I think I would hear: OW, OUCH, CRYING, LAUGHTER, AMBULANCE.:) I think that his friends might be beside him and other random snowboarders.

Hi! I'm going to attempt to do the post. Sorry I have not been at school I have just been really sick.

1. I think it's winter because it only snows in winter and as you can see in the picture there is snow.

2. I think it's just after 12:00 because the sky is still blue and bright and not dark.

3. I think this person is on the ground because he is snowboarding and must of had a wipeout that led to him falling face first into the snow.

4. I think if I was 5 feet away that I would of heard a thud and some moaning then a crunch of the snow as the person was getting up.

5. I think there would be a camera because someone had to take the picture of the person that fell and some pine trees because it looks like this person is snowboarding so they must be at a mountain sky park place that they went to to snowboard and on a mountain there is always pine trees so that's what led to my answer.

I think the season is winter because of the snow. I think the time of day is midafternoon to night time (around 5-6) because the sky is not superbright or really dark. This person is probably on the ground because they tripped or turn the snowboard the wrong way. If I was 5 feet away I would probably hear a sloshing sound of the person or board hitting the snow. I think trees or a ski lift because when you or skiing or snowboarding those are main things you might see.

I think it is winter because of all the snow everywhere and the person in the photo is wearing heavy warm clothing.

I think it is around morning time because it is very light out and the sun is shining like ho wit is usually in the morning and its not the afternoon because the afternoon light is slightly more dim.

He fell, I think this because in the picture there is snow flying almost around his ancles and he is face planted into the snow.

I think i would hear nothing until he/she stopped falling then i would hear yelling or screaming.
I think this because when someone is falling down a hill like in previous situations I have been in you dont say anything you just tense up and hope its gonna be over soon then after you usually scream for help or yell because you are hurt.

I think people will be near by because it cant just be 1 person out there alone. Maybe there is also the ski or snowboard place that owned the mountain.

Possibly the season could be Winter. POSSIBLY, that was just a theory. What if that was just green screened on a hot summer day? But i'd rather just say its Winter because of how the man is dressed, he is wearing all that gear to support you and keep you warm in the winter, he is also snowboarding down a mountain of snow.

The time of day it is would probably be afternoon by 1 hour since the sun is still fresh, morning is when the sun rises, noon is when the sun is settled, and after noon the sun starts to go down slowly, then sun down the sun goes down.

I think the reason why he fell down was because he must have lost balance or tripped and did a major face plant in the snow. Maybe his foot got loose and his other foot stuck on the snowboard was struggling to keep his position.

From 5 feet away? I think what I'd hear would be like *POOF!* *Shhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh* and "Aaaaaaahhhhh!" The Poof would be him face planting into the snow, the Shhhhhhhh would be him sliding down the snow, and the Aaaaaaaaaahhhhhh would be him falling down the mountain. Why I think I'd hear this is cause when your on a mountain, when someone calls out his call out should echo across the empty land along with the other sounds.

I think there would be a Husky rider nearby and a mountain hiker. Why I'd think this is because Husky riders usually go by snow to well, Husky Ski with like 6 Huskies, I also think that mountain hikers would like to try and hike that mountain as a challenge or for his vacation.

1) I think it is either summer or winter because its snowy but it is a clear sky like summer unless the mountain is above clouds.
2) It could be night or day because its bright so it could be a light on the mountain or the sun.
3) I think the person fell sown from trying to do a trick.

I think that it is the afternoon because it is still bright out unless it is in the arctic circle where it is bright for months at a time

1.) It is most likely winter. If it is around here because where we live we only get snow in the winter but it could be in the Antarctic in the middle of July we don't know.
2.) I think it is around 1:30-3:00 because the sky is getting a pretty dark blue so I think it is a little after mid day and is starting to get a little dark.
3.) I think this person fell. That is why he/she is on the ground or maybe this person like being on the ground.
4.) I think we would here a scream, crack, then nothing. It looks like all the blow could have gone to the neck causing it to snap which would either paralyzing or killing them.
5.) I think a medical team will be on the way to give help to this person.
