Thanks to all the parents who plan on coming to 'MEET THE TEACHER NIGHT' at Hillcrest. It will be a great opportunity for us to connect. See you from 5 - 6pm. The website will be updated shortly thereafter.

1.) MATH 6 - Complete 'GOOD TIMES WITH PRIMES' worksheet.
MATH 7 - Any work assigned by your math teacher.

2.) WRITE A RESPONSE: What did you learn about Terry Fox and the type of person he was? Why did he try to run across Canada? What was motivating him? If Terry Fox were alive today, what would you say to him and what would you ask him?

Terry Fox was a very caring and kind person that loved everyone and he enspiered everyone across canada and raised over 10 milloin dollers for cancer reasech. He ran across canada to raise over 1 million dollers for people with cancer but once he saw how much money he raised he wanted to go bigger to 10 million.
His whole family and the whole nation was supporting him and his run across canada. If Terry Fox was alive today I would have asked him if had any other dream and I would be so honored.

I learned that terry is an amazing man that attempted to run all the way across Canada to raise money for kids with cancer. And believe it or not but Terry Fox was motivated by kids that have cancer. If Terry Fox was alive right now I would probably say "Terry you are amazing, and, how did it feel to actually be on a football field and meet some of the players?".

In my opinion I think that Terry Fox was a very caring and kind person who got inspired to do the Marathon of Hope because of a ten year old who was going through the same thing that he was going through. In the beginning he wasn't well know but after he got discovered he inspired everyone across Canada. His first goal was to raise a million dollars for cancer research but after he was discovered he wanted to raise money for cancer research and a dollar for every Canadian.

If Terry Fox was alive I would say to him you rock and I would ask him how it felt running on an artificial leg.

Terry Fox is a man who had a dream to raise money to make a cure for cancer, he was an inspirational person who lived to try to cure cancer. What motivated him was a ten year old boy. He stopped running due to his cancer but made schools start to do marathons for money, everyone who ran the Marathon of Hope helped raise almost ten million or more dollars. If Terry Fox were here today, I would ask him what it felt like crossing in to a province just by running.

I think Terry Fox was a good person because he wanted to run to cure cancer. If he was alive now I would thank him for running to cure cancer because my family has cancer. I think Terry was a really good person and he ran across Canada to cure cancer

I think Terry Fox was a kind and determination to do what he want to do for any reason and he was caring for others and to run across Canada for cancer is great if feel the need to and i would say to him "Terry you are a caring curious awesome person".

Terry Fox? Everyone in Canada knows Terry by his amazing achievement, raising money for cancer by running across Canada, The Marathon Of Hope. He was a type of person that wants to help others more than helping himself. He ran across Canada to raise money for cancer awareness. The people and the crowds he met cheered him. He was motivated by that. His goal was 1 million dollars but then he wanted to raise 1$ for every single Canadian. But, as I told you before his cancer came back. He was ready to die, he knew he couldn't fight it anymore. He died in 1981. His statue stands on Beacon Hill Park, Victoria, British Columbia. Is Terry was alive, I would ask him, why do you want to raise money for cancer? And why he cared about others more than himself?

Terry Fox, the most inspirational person you can believe of. Though I was not born at the time, I, and plenty of others know plenty of Terry. Terry, in 1980 he started to run a marathon named the Marathon of Hope, across Canada with an Amputated leg caused by bone cancer. His goal was to reach $1 million dollars for cancer research. Terry was motivated by people that had the same problem as him. He reached plenty of donations and became popular after reaching Toronto. He appeared at a football game and everybody was amazed. Terry, reached $1 million dollars in a flash. However, his goal was know $20 million dollars, a dollar for every Canadian. Unfortunately, his journey came to a stop in Thunder Bay, after 5,375 kilometers, the cancer went into his lungs and made him stop. Sadly, he died nine months after. Terry Fox was a fighter, making the impossible possible. Right now, over $500 MILLION has been raised in his name, and that's how one person can affect the world, amazing. If Terry was alive right now, I would ask him " How did you do it? A marathon every single day, with his leg, that's awesome.

I learned that Terry Fox was a very kind and caring person who wanted to change the world by finding a cure for cancer. He ran one marathon ever day (26 miles.) He cared about the other people with cancer that are going through what he's gone through. Sadly in 1981 june 28th he died because the cancer had come back and he had two tumors in his legs, one the size of a lemon and the other a golf ball. If Terry Fox was still alive I woud ask one question. What did it feel like to be a hero by changing peoples life?

In my opinion Terry Fox was someone that cared. Cared about other people who had cancer like he did and wanted to do something about it. Terry fox ran across canada so that he could raise money for people who had cancer!. His goal was to raise 1,0000 million dollars$ for each canadian. The thing that I think really motivated him was this little boy named ''Greg'' that had the same exact problem he did. If Terry fox was still alive, I would say wow I cant believe you set your goal and achieved it you made so many people happy! and proud. I would ask him if it was hard running on a artificial leg. I learned that terry fox was a person who believed he could run across Canada and raise money for who had cancer. He was a type of person that would keep on going no madder what he wasn't thinking about himself he was thinking about other people and what there going through the same thing.

Terry Fox is a very inspirational Canadian. He was diagnosed with bone cancer on his right knee, which left him with a artificial leg. He wanted to bring awareness about cancer, so he practiced for fourteen months on his fake leg to start a Marathon (The Marathon of Hope). Terry wanted to rise atleast one million dollars by running from East to West in Canada. Terry would get up at four A.M in the morning and start running twenty six miles, rest for a little bit and then start again. Over time people started recognizing Terry, and soon enough he had reached that goal and wanted to raise one dollar for each Canadian, which is twenty four million dollars in all. Then, on September first he had came to the city of Thunder Bay and had run three thousand three hundred and thirty nine miles. At a spot he had asked to be brought to the hospital, where they told him that the cancer had came back again. Later on June 28 1981. If Terry Fox was alive today, firstly, I would tell him. That he was or did a great job, and that I'm not just proud of him but the whole country. Lastly I would ask him, "How did you keep going with a artificial leg?"

It sounds like Terry Fox was a great preson who thoght of others before him self. And he tryed to run across Canda to raise money for cancer reaserch. His motivation was a little kid named Greg and Greg was going through the same thing as terry but Greg was only 10 years old.And if Terry Fox was alive today i would ask him if a family member of yours got cancer would you run acros Canda again I would say thank you for raising money for kids who were going through with cancer. #marathon of hope

Terry Fox was a very caring, helpful, achiever, over comer, role model. Terry Fox ran across Canada to raise money for cancer. He was a very brave man because he never gave up even though he knew he was going to die soon. If I met Terry Fox, I would ask him how he can keep running with out giving up, and I would be really proud of him.

Terry Fox is an amazing guy who ran the marathon of hope motivated by kids and adults with cancer. He was hoping to raise over $1,000,000 for cancer research but ended up raising over $25,000,000. If Terry was still alive today, I would tell him I really admire what he did, and that he made a huge difference in not only Canada but all over the world.

Today, I learned that Terry Fox was a caring person, and puts others first before himself. He tried to raise awareness for Cancer, and his main goal was to make 1 million dollars towards funding Cancer research. Kids much younger than him struggle with Cancer of various types, and it's even more upsetting because most of those young kids don't even know what is happening to them. Even with Cancer in his right knee which led to an amputation, he still ran so far until he reached Thunder Bay when the Cancer had returned. It is very inspiring when you think to yourself, "I can't do it". But Terry Fox did it, with an amputated leg, so why cant we? If Terry were alive today I would cheer him on and applaud him for the challenges he overcame. I would also ask him how he got inspired to choose THIS to raise awareness for Cancer. Why not a regular fundraiser? Would him running The Marathon Of Hope with an amputated leg, get more attention to the cause? Who knows, but it is great to think of the things Terry did, and he will always be remembered and recognized each year for his success.

He ran across canada from east to west to raise money for cancer. there was a little boy named greg who was only ten years old and was going through the same thing terry but except only ten years old and that was what motivated terry fox. if he was still alive today i would ask him what it felt like to donate millions of dollars to cancer

Terry Fox is a wonderful person, filled with passion and love. He ran across Canada to raise money for maybe one of the worst condition in history, Cancer, he didn't get across Canada, but his story still inspires so many of us to this day.
