Gr.7 Tug of War

Today, the students enjoyed a day full of fun and excitement. The students participated in many different games, a tug of war, and a water relay game. It was awesome to see so many happy faces today!

A special thanks goes out to Ms. Zaporteza who has been volunteering in our classroom this year! She has been an amazing help and also did an excellent job teaching the students how to dance. Click here to watch their dance performance that we recorded a few days ago! (link to be updated shortly)

1.) NEWS:

I haven't heard any news about the strike. I'll keep you guys posted.

2.) GRADE 7 TRIP:

Parents/Students click here to view the Playland permission form. Parents, if you are unable to print this off, simply send me an e-mail or send a signed note that states you are giving your son/daughter permission to attend the field trip on Monday.
Students are asked to bring a $30 donation to cover the cost of the trip. Please bring this tomorrow.

3.) SCHOOL SUPPLIES:

Bring a bag to take home some of your school supplies tomorrow.

I've done so many "sports days" in the past so it wasn't too fun. The event that I enjoyed most was the one with the slingshot. My least favourite activity was the one with the potato sack.

This years sports day wasn't as fun as past years, because we didn't switch groups, and usually the grade7's lead the stations. My Favorite event was the water station. My least Favorite activity was the potato sack, or the obstacle course one.

I thought sports day was very fun. I enjoyed the squrt gun activity the most. I enjoyed the three legged race one the least.

What I thought of sports day is that normally I an not the biggest fan of it but this year was really fun! Since it was hot out the thing I enjoyed the most was the station "Wet And Wild" because if was fun to get wet and not be so hot from the other stations. What I enjoyed the least was the station were we had to take off or shoes and jet back one at a time because everyone was being rushed and was fun when people are rushing you.

My Favorite station was number one wet and wild. Next is the bottom is the one are you threw a frisbee in to hoop

I think that this years sports day was ok. Unfortunately we only had one day to learn the cheers. I find it much more fun when its different cheers for the teams and not the grades. I also think that the grade sevens should have had a choice to whether or not they could run stations. Other than that it was very fun. My favourite station was the water station while my least favourite was when you had to weave through the cones. My only suggestion would be that the winning team of the 'tug o war' would also compete against the teachers.

I think that the sports day was not that exiting as all the other times because the cheers were not run by colours, they were run by grades. Also, last year there was a little performance and there wasn't this year.

I really liked the water one because it cooled us off when we were hot and it was like having a mini water fight.

I didn't really like the tree legged race because it hurt my leg and it was really hard and clumped.

I thought this sports day was not as good as others but it was fun. I really liked the potato sac race it was fun and felt old school just like the theme. My least favorite station was the over-under station and I bet that was lots of peoples least favorite.

This year Sports Day wasn't as exciting as it used to be, but I still enjoyed it. My favourite station was the wet and wild one because it was nice and refreshing because of how hot it was outside. My second favourite station was the one where you spin around with your four head on the bat and then ran through the cones. Something that I didn't like about Sports Day was the cheers because they didn't really have an old school theme or a colour theme because we did it in grades.

I think sports day was the good same thing as every year. My most favourite station was the one when you spin around with the baseball bat and run, an my least favourite station was nothing at all. I'll work on my post tomorrow because right now I'm busy

To add on, sports day is always entertaining to watch the tug war with the grade 7's, and I also can't wait for next year so we grade 6's can do it too. My other favourite station was also the one when you had to walk with a partner with your feet tied together.

I truly thought that this sports day was not as good as previous ones they have done. For example, they did not dress the gym up and stuff like they usually do, not did they do the skit they also usally do and that we did not have the usual water ballon fight an the teachers did not do tug of war. But overall sports was still fun, but I had to say that the one station where you get wet was my favorite.

Honestly, sports was definently not as much fun. I was looking forward to running the stations this year. Also it's more fun when we actually keep track of places for teams. My favourite station was the "Wet and Wild". My least favorite station was the three legged race. It was fun to do tug of war and do all the stations, but just not as much fun as the recent years.

I think that this sports day was not as fun as the others because we did not really know the cheers, we did not get to run the stations, and we did not get to see the play with the teachers at the beginning of the year. Also I liked the station where you got to shoot the water in the bucket and did nit like the potato sack one.

I really enjoyed the water station. It was really fun just to cool off. The station I did not enjoy very much was the race station. I did not enjoy this because the ties hurt your ankle and the grass hurt your knee. Over all spots day was real fun. At least it wasn't rainy and cold.

I mean this year was way diffrent from the past 8 years I've done them and it wasn't as fun because we moved around I our class not diffrent groups, and the grade 7's didn't get to run the stations. I liked the water gun one because it was nice and cooling and the chicken slingshot one because it was fun launching rubber chickens at hoops. I really didn't like the potatoe sack race because they were all ripped and it is really anoying having to jump.

I didn't really like the sports day. Usually the grade 7's would lead and there also wasn't any cheering.

This year I really liked sports day. It was very fun and we had some cool games. My favourite event was the tug o' war. My team won every time. My least favourite part was how we didn't get to lead the stations. Normally the grade sevens get to run stations. This year although I understand the circumstances I still wish we could have done more things like cheers and skits and stuff.

I enjoyed the water station the most because it was really hot out and it was fun to shoot people with water.
I didnt really enjoy the station with mrs.foster because a lot of my group members were not paying attension.
