Today, the students created criteria for their Science presentations on their deep sea explorers. The students wanted to be assesseed on their written work, organization, structure, creativity, and a few other points. How do you think the family felt after the doctor introduced who the gentleman was?

I think the person siting beside that family felt really sad, ashamed, and regret full. I said I think he feels sad and, ashamed because, if that family is judging that person because of what they have heard about people with that type of skin colour, then I would feel bad and shame-full about what people think of his own race. Also, I said he might feel regretful because, he saved that little girls life by donating some of his bone marrow, then after that little girls parents treat him poorly like he has some sort of disease. I would not feel too happy if that were to happen to me.

After the doctor introduced the man to the family I think the family felt very, very guilty, regret-full, and cunfused. I said they felt guilty and regret-full because, they treated this man with no respect what so ever, then they find out he saved their daughters life. It's like when you are being mean to a complete stranger, then you find put that person happens to be the one that saved your cat. It's not quite like that but, not that different. Also, there are confused there because, the family that was being racist because, of what they have heard about people with that kind of skin colour, yet those people just saved their daughters life.

If by views you mean minds, then yes I think peoples views can change if they already have racist views. Why you ask? Just like in the video, if I were the parents and I found out that someone with that kind of skin colour just saved my daughters life, my perspective would definitely change. It's like if there is coke and water, you just found out that coke is really bad and disgusting for you.

I thought the man was thinking about himself as a, "useless" person but he should be proud of himself for what he had done that day because saving a children's life can save many other lives of kids that rely on the world and if there was nobody to care about others then our world would pretty much grow slowly and in like ten years our world or race would go extinct. That's what I thought about the man when he was sitting beside their family.

I thought the family was shocked for what this man has done for them. He saved their daughter's life and they should be thankful for people like them and shouldn't be so racist to them since she was showing skin discrimination which is a person that hates a person with a dark or very light skin tone.

I do think people's view could change about people because someday they're going to have to get used to it. Like I have a black uncle but that doesn't mean I'm scared of him I think he is the best uncle ever! He is in my top 10 list of favourite uncles. What if someone does something very special for you that is a different race? I wouldn't care I'd sit beside people like them all the time, like Vish!

I think that the man thought sad that they had not taken notice of the one who saved their daughter. He looked depressed because he when he was introduced the family thought of something else. I think that people can judge people when they like but it would be rude to do so. I think that anyone can be the same no matter what they look like and that people who do think the bad way could change their thinking if they thought about it long enough.

I think that he felt terrible and regretful because he came all this way to help the Little girl, but just because of his race they were worried and scared of him. I think that when he got introduced they felt sorry and ashamed because of what they did to him and after all the guy was just trying to help and save the girl.

I don't get the last answer when it says "hold racist veiws" can someone explain.

Based on the video, if there are people out there who hold racist views of other ethnic groups, is is possible for them to change their views of these groups? What do you think would help them change their views to be more accepting of others?

Think he felt awkward and sad because he was the one who gave her the bone marrow and they were trying to get away from him because of his skin colour which is totally wrong. I think they felt ashamed and sorry for doing that because I'm pretty sure without the bone marrow the girl got she might of died. Also, he donated. He was not getting paid and when you give bone marrow to someone you can't be put asleep or have certain types of medicine because it kills the bone marrow or you can't get it. Yes because you can't control what skin colour we have and people can't change their skin colour but, the should not have to. We are all human. We are all people. We are who we are meant to be.

I thought the man sitting was feeling "Unwanted" or he had mixed feelings like "Can't people look at me differently" or "It makes feel horrible when people do this to me."

I think the family must of felt horrible after there rude acquaintance with man who saved there daughters life because of a bonemareo transplant which is apparently supost to be dreadfully painful.

I think they might have thought this more after 911 and how he could have be a tsarists and killed them but you should never judge a book by it's cover because he ended up being super important to the girls survival.

I think the gentleman on the left felt like he wasn't as good as them because they were white and he wasn't. I also think he felt sad and ashamed because he was being judged by that family. I think he also felt disrespected.

After the doctor introduced the gentleman to the family I think they were shocked that he was the donor. They probably couldn't believe it because I think they thought it was another person of the same color as them. They probably did feel regretful and ashamed of how they had just treated the man in the waiting room.

Yes I think people's views can change if they already hold a racist view if they come across a situation of life and death. But this may not apply to everyone either because it can be hard to change someone's views.

Also, you might want to fix up your first part since it's a bit choppy and it all starts with the letter, "I." But overall, I really liked your opinion you stated on the second paragraph.

I think the gentlemen was feeling uncomfortable when they looked at him suspicious and he was feeling weird how they where treating him like this and he was actually his daughters bone marrow Donner. I felt like he deserved better. He could be the nicest man in the world you never know you can not just tell how the person is by there religion, skin color, background, etc.

I think he reacted as if it was normal to him like it was not the first time and he just kept staring down trying to avoid eye contact with the family because they where white and looking at him as if he was a creature that was Poussin and that they should take the daughter out of the seat next him because that will be not good for him.

I think that after the docter introduced them to each other they where thinking, "ohhhhh.... what have I done." "I should of respected him more". That type of stuff I think they felt sorry for him how he is experiencing life and always being the one at the bottom.

I think so because the more views than more people will realize racist view won't be good.

I think that the man felt ashamed and worthless because the family didn't want to sit near him. They judged him because of something that they learned about his race or country, which I'm guessing. That kind of made him feel like he wasn't good enough for them.

By their faces, I could tell they were guilty since they judged him into being someone that he isn't. He saved their daughter's life and they thought that he was "bad," or something. I also thought that they were thankful because without him then their daughter would be extremely sick or dead.

Yes, I do think that people's thoughts could be changed about racist views. If someone thinks that one race does something, like for example some people think that most Muslims are terrorists which is completely not true. If a someone who was Muslim saved your life and you thought they were a terrorist then that would change you mind, right? But then again, it depends on the person and what the situation is. Not everyone is the same but I think that most people will change their thought on racist views.

I think people's views can change even if they already have a bad impression on people with a different skin colour or race because like the video the family's view on a different skin colour changed.

1.) I think the man on the left felt sad to be judged as bad because of someone else's actions.

2.) I think the family would have felt embarrassed for their actions yet grateful for the man helping their daughter.

3.) I think some racists can change their views through good deeds done to them but I also believe it's entirely a matter of how racist the person is to start with.

The man was feeling upset the way they were treating because of the colour of his skin and his race. The family felt bad for how they treated the man in the way of his different skin and race. People should treat people with different skin or race the way you want to be treated.

I think that the man sitting across from the family would feel offended and hurt. If I was him I would question if I would donate to someone so disrispectful to my race and skin colour. The family probably felt very guilty that they treated someone so poorly that would help them and sad because they did not think about how he would feel. I think people's racist views can change because they can realize that we are all equal and everybody is at the same level

I think the family didn't want to be near the guy because he was a different skin tone and they probably think he is a bad person. But they thought wrong. People who be racist to others is the worst thing ever. The people you be racist to can actually make your life better. So that means you missed out on a friend you could of made that could make you happy. Make sure to think first of what you say to others.

I think that the man was depressed or sad because the family judged his skin colour and didn't want to sit near him.

I think that the family thinks the man is a freaky stranger and the mom and dad are protecting their daughter. Then when the doctor wants to see all of them, the doctor tells the family about how the man saved the daughters life. The family felt so bad that they did not say anything at all. I think that the family was very aware of their daughter getting hurt again.

I think peoples views can change because if you learn more about a person and don't judge them for what they look like then you can get a better understanding of others.

I think the man felt bad and unwanted like he did something wrong. When he actually did a very kind and generous act. I think the family felt awful and awkward afterwards because the have treated someone that help save there daughters life like an alien.
I think some people can change there opinion on being racist but I don't think changing your opinion makes up for all the racist things you did. Also changing your opinion won't make the people you treated poorly feel any better.

I think the person that had donated to the girl felt like he didn't deserve this but he was sad to see this happen when he had done such a good thing.
after when the doctor told them he had donated the bone marrow i think the family felt guilty for their act of rudeness.
I think that many peoples opinion can be changes because of the media and the power of the internet and t.v showing the true good side of all people different and all.

I think the man on the left was feeling awkward and sad because the people wouldn't sit beside him. They probably felt guilty for not treating them right but he was the one who saved there daughter. People can definitely change racist views like they showed in the video. I also have an example of my sister, when she was little like 4 a African lady came up to my sister (she was friends with are parents) and held her hand and my sister smacked her and said she doesn't need to touch because she is black. but obviously now my sister changed her opinion from when she was 4.

I think they can change for certain people not the whole group if that is how you say it because if you beleive the "dress" is white and gold and are proven wrong you arent going to look at every white and gold thing and be like thats blue and black.

I think that the man felt very hurt and sad inside because of how the family treated him. They only treated him this way because of his skin colour and nothing else. The family didn't even interact with the man and already didn't like him. Once they realized that he was the girl's bone marrow donor, the had changed their opinion. I don't think that the family's view of the man had changed because I think it was the same even though the man did what he did.

I think that man felt sad because that family were judging him by his look not his personality. I think that family felt very sorry for the man because they judged him by skin colour. People should judge other by what is inside them not their skin colour. I think that many people's opinion can be change because If I saw one person being nice to other I would change my perspective to that person.

I think the man felt horrible when people so clearly did not want t let near him. I think the family felt bard that the treated him poorly by not wanted to sit near him and not knowing what he did for their daughter. I do think people can change but 1 thing to remember is "don't judge a book, by its cover"
