THE DEBATE CONTINUES - THE PROS AND CONS OF THE KINDER MORGAN PIPELINE.

The sound of children laughing filled the halls of K.B. Woodward again today, as spring break was over. The students dove back into their work in math, writing and social studies. In social studies the students started to narrow down their inquiry questions to ONE really good inquiry question. The students really enjoyed working in groups and came up with many very insightful observations about the Kinder Morgan Pipeline. Over the coming days the students will be investigating their inquiry question and producing a piece of work that shows their findings.

2.) SOCIAL STUDIES:

Share your Google doc with Mr. Redican and/or Mr.Hong.
You're Google doc should include the following:
- a minimum of 30 questions
- 5 good inquiry questions (that fall in the green zone of the Q-chart)
- 1 inquiry question highlighted in blue (this is your best questions)

3.) POST A RESPONSE:

Watch this video on Kinder Morgan serving local communities.
Use your research skills and critical thinking skills to come up with your own personal opinion about the message.
Answer these questions in addition to posting your own opinion about it.

   1.) Who made the video?
   2.) Is the message biased at all?
   3.) Would you say that Kinder Morgan does anything positive?
   4.) What do you know or think Kinder Morgan does that is negative and wasn't discussed in the
     video?
   5.) Will Kinder Morgan benefit from this video? How do you think they will benefit?

Reply to one other classmate and ask them questions about their response.

It is biased because the channel is Kinder Morgan.
I think Kinder Morgan did a positive by giving us oil and making money for our country.
I think Kinder Morgan did nothing negative.
They will benefit from the video because they are advertising themselves.

1.) Someone who promotes and is inspired by Kinder Morgan.
2.) idk its kinda hard to explain. This video is trying to say that Kinder Morgan is choking along the way of building pipes because of taxes and his fan is trying to tell everyone to stop getting in the way of the pipes so Kinder can benefit from all those taxes.
3.) Kinder is doing nothing positive, for the environment at least. He will end up filthy rich but he will be disrespecting the earth and the fossils within.
4.) Hes bulldozing a giant hole across pretty much Canada just to get some fossle fuel.

Amy Rutledge, directer of Carroll county made this video. I think this video is being biased, because she is saying Kinder Morgan is good. kinder Morgan is committed to the community One ting that wasn't discussed in this video is how they are effecting the environment. This video is basically advertising Kinder Morgan.

1.) Amy Rutledge made the video.

2.) The message ain't biased at all because all the words that came out of her mouth is just "I want to make my home better" and not getting and talking about kinder morgan.

3.)No because it makes life on earth completely hard because of pollution.

4.)Contaminates our water which is an important source of matter.

5.)It may seem benefitial but they don't tell how Kinder Morgan works. First of all they don't even mention what it does in the video. Second of all no country wants to buy their pipeline. So it won't benifit!

2) This was uploaded 1 Year ago and only had 760 views and 3 comments. For a guy that everybody knows that a small amount of views. That by it self I can already tell that this is biased.

3) I think he can be positive . sure....

4) In the video I would have liked to see more people talk other then just herself. And in my opinion I don't like what he is doing. He will be tearing up more nature and damaging the environment even more. What if you woke up to the smell of oil or woke up to seeing Huge tanks in front of your house. I personally think he is making a bad choice on this. And when he's using boats to carry the oil. I think there will be an oil leakage. And this all connects to Trump with the coal system happening. I mean they're are already 5 pipelines! Is that not enough?! People would have to move out of they're homes for this! I just wish some people could make a good change like Obama did. Not a bad change.

5) I think they will benefit from the video because like Logan said They're advertising themselves. But not all people will agree.

I just think Kinder Morgan is making a bad choice on this.

2} I think the video is really off topic she doesn't say what Kinder Morgan is and what the benefits of Kinder Morgan does.

3} A thing that's positive about Kinder Morgan is that they give resources to places that were hit by Kinder Morgan.

4} A negative thing that Kinder Morgan has done that isn't explained in the video is what Kinder Morgan does to the Earth.

5} Personally i think that they can't benefit from this video because they don't explain anything that has to Do with Kinder Morgan.

I also looked at his other videos to see if it was actually Kinder Morgan.2.) I think it is biased, because they are trying to make us think that Kinder Morgan is a good person and he is trying to help everyone. So there wont be any protesters about him making a pipe line.3.) He does do some positive stuff but mostly bad in my opinion.4.) In the video they didn't say anything about him making a pipe line and how it could hurt the world.
