7 EARTH-LIKE PLANETS WERE DISCOVERED

WOW! Ok, after I found out about NASA's discovery of the 7 new Earth-like planets that orbit a single star, I haven't been able to stop learning about them. They are amazed at their discovery. They are in a galaxy that is about 40 light years away from us. What does this mean? It is really, really far from us. However, they will be doing more studies to find out about the existence of water and what types of gases exist there. I wonder if they will discover Oxygen? Apparently you can actually see the other planets orbiting one another from each of the planets. This is quite possibly one of the most important discoveries of recent times. What will this mean about the existence of life outside of Earth? I have so many questions. We will look into this next week.

I'm with Mr. Hong - the discovery of these planets is amazing.
We had a great class discussion about the possibility of life on these planets at the end of the day!
Lets imagine people could live on these planets.
Please answer the three following questions in paragraph form:
1) What characteristics (e.g. oxygen, water, etc) would these planets need to have in order for humans to be able to live there?
2) What two things would you bring with you from earth?
3) How would you design a spaceship that could easily land on these planets? (Think about your design for the "Egg Drop Challenge.")
Please use full and complete sentences.
Don't forget the givens: spelling, capitals, grammar, sentence variety, etc.

3 new planets

To live on one of these 3 planets we need to know if it is possible to live on any of them. First you'd need to know if there is oxygen, because you need oxygen to breath or else you will die. Secondly you'll need to know if there is water, because you could only live for 3-6 days without water. Third you will need to check the gravity, because if it makes your body fell like 1000 pounds as soon as you make it there you can't even walk.

If you are wondering what 2 things would I bring to the planet I would bring a soccer ball of course. Because how will I survive without soccer I'll go mad. You know I need to score those lit goals. My second Item will be a PS4 with 15 years of psn live and with over $10,000 dollars in it. Because that is still only one item and I could buy games and stuff on it.

I would design my spaceship as the same one as little Einstin's rocket ship.

New Planet
If getting a new planet as a backup you'll need plants and etc because it's the source of oxygen and fruits. Getting a backup planet will also need animals for food and keeping balance in the animal kingdom.

2 things I would bring with me is my friends and family because I don't want to stay lonely forever unlike shaan(ball is life) and I would also bring planet Earth with me so I can have unlimited WiFi, all the technology and no one can take my thing( Earth ).

I would make my spaceship like the one in Little Einsteins, but flies faster than the speed of light so I can travel to places faster and I would also add a brake that stop immediately but slows down first.

New Planet
Like here we all need water, plants & tree's which provides oxygen (so I could pack a little lighter), like ben said I would bring one of every spieces.eg. Fish, mammels ,ect....To experiment.

If I could only bring two things to go I would bring someone who is two or one year younger then me because They would live longer then me. And music. So if I get bored I could watch the stars and other planets.

I would build a spaceship like the same spaceship in enders game because it look really cool and very useful.

The planets would need oxygen and water and lots of food and utilities like that. The two things I would bring are Video games with all my games. Also I would bring my phone and a charger. I don't know how far these lanes are so I would just bring a roket ship.

To be honest I don't think this I real because how do they know that there are new planets, also how can they see the planets. That's why I don't think this is real.

Characteristics I think since the 7 new plants are like earth that they must have water and oxygen. If I were to bring something from earth to the new plants I would bring family (dog) and friends. I think my space ship would be really quick and it would have water and food in it.

The planets would need lots of agriculture and oxygen and water for us to live there we would also need homes and a source of power.

Characteristics humans need:I would bring water rand food also we would need the gravity as same our earth we live on.Also we would need animals to balance out the population

What i would bring:I would bring food,water,family and friends.Also i would bring most of the things inside my house which are necessary for me to live on that specific planet.I would also bring medicine in case one of us get sick.

The design of the spaceship would be thinner so it could move faster.It would have the strongest horse power engine to travel light years.Also i huge landing pad to secure the safety.

I also did the language arts but i'm waiting for Jacob to give me feedback

Living On Another Planet

The planet would need water so we don't dehydrate to death. Food sources that is edible to humans. And oxygen so I could breath and not run on gas tanks. 2 things i would bring from earth to this new planet? That's hard I have so many things I would bring here. First a giant water tank in case if there's no water. And a gun if monsters come for me. A space space ship I would have would require a blueprint. Safety would be on the number one list so I don't die when I land. Missile launchers to shoot down asteroids. My space ship wouldn't really be a space ship because its more of an escape pod that fires out of a cannon with reinforced steel.

If a human lives in one of those new planets, the planet needs to have these three important things in order a human to be able to survive in there. First, humans need oxygen (of course). When we breath, oxygen comes through their lungs and it provides nutrients to all of the cells in their body. If they don't, then they will begin to die quickly. Secondly, we need water. Water helps us rehydrate from dehydration.Thirdly, we need food. If the planet will possibly have life, then plants and maybe animals (aliens or something), will live there too. We need fruits and vegetables from the plants and the animals fresh meat (if they're edible).

If I would bring something from Earth, it would be my art supplies and my clothes. I wanna bring my art supplies because I wanna draw the landscapes, oceans, and different kinds of things I saw there. Then, when I get back, I can show them off to my friends and family and I'll remember the times I was sitting there and drawing the picture. The second thing I would bring, is my clothes (enough for me not to get cold there and stuff).

(This is just my imagination xD)
Well, I would design a spaceship that's really fast (speed of light) and that space ship would actually have a feature that also makes food and water (when technology is advanced).

The planet must contain water for us to drink, oxygen for us to breath. We also need plants to produce oxygen. I would bring food and a tent. I would bring food, so I would not starve to death. I would bring a tent for shelter. I would design my rocket ship like Little Einstien's ship, but I would make it bigger.

We need Oxygen, water, food, trees, and shelter. To live on the new planets. If I had 2 things to bring to the new planets, It would be My family, and my Supply. Make a soft warm inside with the tough outside. And when it lands, it will bounce.

Only 3 of the planets are in the habital zone but who knows. Science might not matter in this world anymore. Anyways the charactistices of these planets that you would need is water, Land, Oxygen, Amoebas, and fish since fish is the first animal that could be on a planet. I would bring a rocket ship and food from earth so I could live. My ship would be in a oval shape because the reason eggs are oval is because it lets them stand more pressure so it would be useful. Also we will NEVER go to these planets. We cant get to the speed of light because here I go

Speed of light ---> Faster you go the heavier the objects gets ---> You need more fuel to move the object ---> We don't have infinite fuel.

1.) To live on one of those planets the planet must have these following chemicals,matter,etc.

water, land, oxygen, plants, soil, wildlife, electricity, an atmosphere, and enough room to fit 999,999,999,999,999+ People.

2.) The 2 things that I would bring along with me to that planet is money because you have to buy property and a house and pay for bills if you want to live there and medicine because no one would pay for my medical bills if I lived alone.

3.) My spaceship design will be based off a rocket bomb from WWII
because it just looks cool. Of course it will have all the basic spaceship things like MRE, oxygen tanks, space suit, steering wheel, gas, etc.
How its going to land is by just slowley turn around and make sure its in a 90° angle and let the planet's gravity suck me in to the planet then Ta da! Perfectly parked.

These plants would need trees,water,light, and plankton. If I went to one of the planets I would bring a shovel and a pick axe to mine. Than I can make a ladder or something from trees or what ever they have. I would grab a normal spaceship and a Toyota Prius and put the Toyota Prius in the spaceship because Toyota Priusies are fuel efficient.
