1. Absolute poverty. When we say, "absolute." We mean the most poorest type of poverty. It is when people are chronicly needing water, food, shelter, etc and lots of people are suffering from malaria (mostly children). Malaria is a disease with mistquitos. Cholera another disease and water contamination diseases. This type is probaly caused generations before the child is suffering from this type of poverty. For example say your great great grand father lives in poverty then your grand parents live in poverty then your parents live in poverty then you live in poverty there is a much higher chance you will be living in absolute poverty.

2. Relative poverty. This type of poverty is mainly when a family does not make to much money clutching the amount they can live off of, having there basic needs met such as food, water, basic ,housing provided by the government, and medicine, etc. However families in relitave poverty do not have enough to send there kids to university or college, maybe not able to provide there kids with stuff to keep them entertained like toys, technology, vacations, etc. These people are considered poor because the do not have access to superior service that other families in the city/comunitee have.

3. Situatoinal poverty. This type of poverty is caused by a situation such as an earthqauke, floods, illnesses, hurricanes, any type of storm or something. If you land in to this poverty you may be able to bounce back with help from friends, family, government, etc. Or it can be unfortunate and you can be homeless. To illustrate say you where a normal person getting an eductation, had shelter, food, clean water, entertainment, lots of cool awesome stuff and then suddenly an eathquake happens and you lose all your stuff, will now your in, "situational poverty".

4. Chronic poverty. This is when your family has been in poverty for generations and it is very hard to make a good life. It is very hard for them to get out of it with little or no tools.

1.) Absolute Poverty
Absolute poverty is the most extreme kind of poverty. People living in absolute poverty lack basic food, clean water, health, and housing. People in absolute poverty struggle to live and usually experience a lot of child deaths from avoidable diseases like malaria, cholera, and water-contamination related diseases. This type of poverty tends to be long term and often handed to people by generations before them. Absolute poverty is usually not common in the developed world.

2.) Relative Poverty
Relative poverty is usually connected to other people/families in the society. For example, a family can be considered poor if they cannot afford a car or cannot buy presents for children at Christmas. People living in relative poverty have access to basic human needs, (food, water, housing, clothes, etc...), but they can't afford vacations, cars, and fancy stuff. Even though they have access to the basic human nesseccities they are considered poor because they don't have everything that others in the society have.

3.) Situational Poverty
Situational poverty is caused when a natural diasater such as a tornado, earthquake, tsunami, etc... destroys housing and such. This type of poverty can be ended with a little bit of assistance.

4.) Genarational/Chronic Poverty
Generational/Chronic poverty is caused by generations before. For example, it is like a boomerang. If one person doesn't make enough money to support his or her's family they won't be able to send their kids to school. And if the kids don't get an education they won't be able to get a good job. And if they don't get a good job they won't earn enough money to send they're child or children to school and the cycle starts over again.

1: Absolute poverty. This is when you have no (or limited) food and water. You have no wants, but also no needs. Basicly, you can eaisily die from this. If you live in a developing country, it is easy to get this. Its not so common in developed countries though.

2: Relative Poverty: This is when you compare yourself as poor to other families just because you cannot afford the "wants"

3: Situational Poverty: This is when, because of a natural disaster or fire. They lose their house and have nowhere to stay.

Absolute poverty is when someone has nothing and struggles to find essentials for life and has a great chance of disease and death

Relative poverty is where a family can get their basic needs met, but dosen't have lots of extra spending money for things like entertainment and trips.

Sutuational poverty is when there could be a natural disaster that destroys a farm. Now the farmer and their family will be living in poverty because they have no shelter or source of money.

Chronic poverty is when poverty gets passed on by generation. Say that there is a fruit slalesperson in africa. Then, one day the government says that the land that their fruit orchard is on is going to be a wildlive preserve. Now they are on the street and they have a family and this poverty gets passed down generations from now.

There are four types of povery. Absolute poverty, relative poverty, situational poverty, and general or chronic poverty.

Firstly, is there is absoulte povert. Absoulte poverty is when people are lacking they're basic needs like food, clean water, health care and shelter. Also absoulte poverty includes people experiencing deaths caused by diseases like cholera, malria, adn water-containment realted things like diarrhea.

Secondly, there is relative poverty. This is when even though you have food, water, shelter, and basic needs, you can still be considered poor. Whhy you ask? Because, they still can't afford to go on vacation, or send they're kids to college. Related usually caused from family member, also when the rest of the community has access to resources and supior services.

Thirdly, situational poverty, this is when people become to live in poverty because of natural disasters like tornados, hurricanes, tsunammi, earthquakes, or illness. Homes get destoryed and ruined due to causes like these.(not the illnesses though)

Lastly there is chronic or generational poverty. When there is no escape to this kind of poverty. The poveerty cycle, when people live in poverty becauuse, of they're parents and they're parents.

Absolute Poverty: someone living in absolute poverty don't have there basic needs being met. Relative Poverty: Relative Poverty isn't really poverty it just mean don't have as much as most people. For example they might not be able to go on vacation but they still have there basic needs being met. There are considered poor because they don't have as many things as most people.

Situational Poverty: People in this situation aren't actually in poverty something just happens to then which leads them in finantional ruins. For example earthquakes, tornados, hurricanes, typhoons, and floods.

Generational or Chronical Hunger: is when someone is living in poverty and nobody can help them get out of the situation no matter how hard they try.

Sorry for the not-too late post, I had to go out for the day to a friends.

In class, we learned about four different parts of Poverty, those parts are:

Absolute Poverty - This is the worst type of poverty that could possibly happen. What it can do is it involves a chronic lack of basic needs. Such as food, clean water, health, and lastly shelter. Usually what people experience from Absolute Poverty is a lot of child deaths that come from water-contamination sorts of things, like malaria, cholera, and other things.Not only these things, but this type of poverty is almost a life lasting process that is very uncommon for people to get throughout their generations.

Relatives Poverty - This poverty type is more like selfishness. It is when a family has some support from the government from food, water, all basic needs, but when they get all that, their society can have access to all much better basic needs. Like better housing, jobs and money, more food, and much more things.

Situational Poverty - This is more like an accident of how they went to poverty. It's when people struggle living or had a good life until an earthquake, or some natural disaster came by and ruined or destroyed everything they have. And that's when they would have to live out in the streets with almost nothing to support them. But, the government could support them and help them out. Or maybe, give them a house to live in.

Generational / Chronic Poverty - Last but not least, Generation Poverty as I call it. This sort of poverty is what goes on throughout generations of a family from before to the future, and will never stop until someone breaks it or destroys the barrier. This doesn't just happen to just one family, it goes throughout to almost every single one.

Firstly, absolute poverty is an extreme case of poverty. It is when you completely lack food, water, shelter, and all the essential needs to survive. This type of poverty is more common in developing countries and is very bad. The second kind of poverty is relative poverty and that is when you have all the resources to survive (food, water, etc.) but you do not have the money to buy toys or so fun things like other people do. The third type of poverty is situational poverty. This is when something (like a natural disaster) destroys your home and takes everything you own with it and leaves you with nothing. It is hard to escape this type of poverty if you do not have any assistance of some sorts whether it's financially or physically. Lastly, the final type of poverty is generational/chronic poverty. This type of poverty is a type which passes from generation to generation in families and leaves the next generation of family members in poverty. This type of poverty is very hard to escape. To conclude, the four types of poverty are absolute, relative, situational, and generational/chronic.

Firstly, what is Absolute poverty? Well, since you ask Absolute poverty is the most poorest kind of poverty in developing countries. To illustarte, this is when people dont have clean water to drink, food to eat, shelter to live in, and no clothing to wear. In a matter of fact, Absolute poverty can also cause people to have diseases due to drinking bad water, and not having food to eat. Absolute poverty is also like a cycle. How? Well, if a person doesnt have an education, that means that person wont be able to have a job, and if that person doesn't have a job then he/ she will not make enough money to support their family to buy the basic needs. To illustrate, if a childs parent lives in poverty, then that probably means that the parent didn't have a education which means that he/she dont have enough money to support their family. Above all, that what Absolute poverty means to me.

Secondly, what is Relative poverty? Well, since you ask Relative poverty is when you still have the basic need met, like food, water, clothing, shelter. But you may not have good furniture in your house, a car to drive on, or maybe no blankets to sleep on. Relative poverty also means, if one family just went on one trip to a soccer match, but another family went to 50 trips to soccer matches they both have the basic need met, its just one family can offord more than the other family. For example, if both families around the neighbourhood have the basic needs met, one family can go on many vacations to Hawaii when the other family cant go to a vacation to Hawaii. Above all, that what Relative poverty means to me.

Thirdly, what is Situational poverty? Well, since you ask Situational poverty is when a natural diasater strucks in your town, city, country, or continent. It could be a flood, earthquake, tornado, tsunami, or even a hurricane that ruined your home. This means if a disaster like a hurricane ruined your home, you cant do anything which makes you live in poverty with no food, water, or a shelter to live in. For example, if I lived in a home that was ruined from a tsunami, that means I live in Situational poverty, because, I dont have a shelter to live in. Above all, that what Situational poverty means to me.

@Sargent Sqweecers, For your Generational / Chronic Poverty, there is actually a way to break out of the poverty cycle. One of the kids just has to get as much money as they can to send their kids to school. And by that time, those kids will hopefully grow up to have a much more successful life and move out to another country. Also, you could explain a bit more details about the last 3 parts of Poverty, because it sounds like you just said that this is that, and it only mentions one point out of maybe 5 for it.

1. Absolute poverty is when your basic needs are not met at all. For example, you have no water, food, shelter and your living on one USD a day. To continue, child and adult death also happens a lot when you are in absolute hunger from malaria, cholera and water-contamination related diseases.
2. Generational or Chronic Poverty is when your relative was is poverty and you are now stuck in the poverty circle. Also, you don't get any money because you didn't get a job sine your in the poverty circle.
3. Situational Poverty is when you are stuck in a natural disaster. This is bad because the government will not you back you have may lost a family member.
4. Relative Poverty is when you can't by extra stuff. For example, your parents might not be able to by you presents for you birthday or for christmas.

I was not in class for the discussion but I tried to learn from other posts and from the video what the different types of poverty are

1) situational poverty, this is when something occurred (like a natural disaster) and you lost necessary things to you like farmland or your money this can be temporary but some examples like hati show it can last for years.

2) absolute poverty, this is when you or your family is living on one American dollar a day or less this may very well result in child death and S.I.D.S. (Sudden infant death syndrome) and can also result in chronic poverty.

3) chronic poverty, this is when you are in the poverty cycle with no recourses to get out of it(like loans or a better schooling for your child) the poverty cycle goes like this. The parents have poor education and make less than enough money to survive, they get their child to do work so they can scrape by, their kid grows up without proper education and starts at the top.
