Trip to the VSO. Today, we had a great field trip to the Vancouver Symphony Orchestra. They learned much about percussion instruments! In addition to this, there was even more learning today and students worked on their self-regulation. Prior to the trip, we created a new C-chart for being 'OUT IN THE COMMUNITY'. Students created the action criteria and it was made very clear to them what their expected behaviours should look like. This in turn helped them self-regulate during the entire field trip and everything went as expected! Well done to the students of division 1 and 2! You reached one of the learning intentions!
