Repeat: Usain Bolt and Amada's dad

A lot of successful people out there say that simply setting goals will not translate into success. To achieve your goals, you need to set them, make a plan on how you're going to achieve them, and work hard to achieve the goals. The Grouse Grind Video from term 1 is evidence that anybody who works hard can complete a daunting task. All grade 6/7 students worked on their cardiovascular health in the weeks building up to the event. Had students not planned to improve their endurance before the trip, many students most likely would not have been physically and mentally prepared for it.

The Grade 6/7 students have completed 2 drafts of their expository essays on setting and achieving goals. They have completed self and peer assessments and have received feedback not only from the teachers, but also from their peers. After taking the feedback they received into consideration, they made edits/revisions to their first drafts. They will receive their writing back this week and will make the final edits/revisions based on the feedback they receive.

MATH 7: Any assigned work.

2.) SHOWCASED BLOG:

Visit Minnie Mouse's Learning Journey and leave her at least 4 comments (feedback/questions/suggestions, etc)

3.) WRITE A RESPONSE #3:

How do you think Usain Bolt achieved his goal of becoming the fastest person to ever live? Was it pure talent? Was it a combination of planning, working hard, and raw talent?
Explain using the goal setting process and what you have learned about achieving your goals.

4.) VALENTINE'S DAY CELEBRATION

I think Usain Bolt had to practice really hard everyday for many hours. He would have to be really devoted and pursuing his goal. I have learned that by pursuing your goal it makes you feel like you achieved something really big. If you give up, then all the hard work was technically for nothing.

I think that Usain Bolt's talent of being so fast was hard training. My goal was to spend less time on electronics, it isn't working out so well though. But I have some steps that can help you. Firstly, state 3 points that you will do to reach this goal. Secondly and lastly, try and do the 3 points that will help you everyday. That is probably going to help you.

I think Usain Bolt had to practice a whole lot, but he was born with some of it future. My goal was to do better in school, and so far I think it is working pretty well. The three steps that will help me are keeping myself more organized, not keeping everything to the last minute, and lastly to try my very hardest.
Tomorrow I am brining popcorn for the party.

I think Usain Bolt achieved his goal buy mostly practice and talent. I think practice is important and it makes you get better at what you are practice and if you do this enough you might get as good as Usain Bolt because he has practiced so much. I think that one of his ancestor must have been really fast because the other people he was racing probably trained just as much so it must be talent.

I think that Usain Bolt is the fastest person because he uses drugs. :P Just kidding I actually think because he trains on a track everyday all day and he also needs the speed to run fast and the energy to run.

Usain bolt probably started when he was young and as he grew older he got better. He probably started on the internet then got asked if he could come and meet some olympic people and got some test and he qulafide.

I think that Usain Bolt would have to train every day to meet his goal which is to be the fastest person in the world. He has a lot of natural
ability, he wanted to do this since he was little, and he trains very hard.
He has the best coaches and nutritionists to help him plan his training.

My goal of to spend more time helping my family, and I think my mom likes it when I put the washing or dishes away.

I think Usain Bolt achieved his goal of becoming the fastest person to ever live because he worked hard. Nothing can be pure talent because you need to have commitment and never give up.
Just like my goal of reaching the top of grouse mountain. If I didn't have commitment, I NEVER would have made it there. But because I kept thinking that I could make it, I eventually did.

I think that Usain Bolt achieved his goal by practising very hard and being healthy. He probably made a commitment to achieve being the fastest person on earth. I think this is true but he might have ran as a child for three says straight or something like that because something really bad happened where he lived?

Usain Bolt, the way I think he got to be probably the fastes man on earth was probably by traning. He probably trained at least 2 hours or an hour every day to be the fastes man on earth. But I dont think that is everythinghe probably has some natural talent but. Mostly I think he earned his way to be the fastest person he could be by traning not quiting and more. That is how I think he got to be the fstest person on earth.

I think that Usain Bolt has got to where he is right now because of plenty of things. Firstly, he has determination. He is determined to win, he pushes himself until the race is over and does the best that he possibly can. Lastly, that is his passion. Usain Bolt loves running, why else would he do it? Since it's his passion, he practices so much and tries to get better every single day.

I think Usain Bolt achieved his goal by practising a lot. He most likely took hours a day just to train. Although he is the fastest man alive, I do not think that it only took pure talent for him to get this title. In my opinion, I think it took months of planning and raw talent. I do believe that almost anyone can achieve their goals that they set their mind to. Just take a look at Usain Bolt, he never gave up and he accomplished his goal.
I think to achieve your goal you should first think about a reasonable goal. After that, set up a plan on how to do what ever it is you want to do. Once that's complete, keep on pracitising and planning until the time comes. Mainly, never give up and stay positive!

I think Usain Bolt achieved his goal of being really fast and very very good at track. By not giving up. Also i think he achieved his goal by trying his best i think trying your best and not giving up is one of the reasons that he is so famous and really really good at track just like Minnie Mouse and Oreo are. :)

I think he was trained by a coach to be to the fastest man and he trained hard, and set a good goal for himself and achieved it. He should set another goal to not be beat as long as he is a runner or something like that.

I think that Usain Bolt probably practices a lot by running at a track field or jogging to keep his heart healthy. Part of why he is also fast is because he used to run a lot when he was younger so he also rely's on raw talent. H also has to stay organized to keep up with his practice. Practice makes perfect.

i think Usain Bolt achieved his own position by a clean goal, planned mind, practice and faith in himself. Goals are sometimes some of the hardest things possibly known to man but one saying has reason and that saying is "If you believe it, you can achieve it." The process is different depending on your goal whether its making a great amount of money or finding a good job. Some things I learned about completing goals is that practice, hard work, patience, focus and persistent minds are good keys to reaching for your goal.

I think you did a great job summarizing but if you compare your response with a lot of other comments there is a bit of as difference in length and information. Therefore, maybe try to add a bit more detail. If you need to, re read the planner message and see how your paragraph should be structured. Other than that, good job.

I think that it took years of practice to become the fastest man alive. And he kept on getting faster. Until eventually he was the fastest man alive. I have learned that in order to complete your goal you have to work hard and train everyday.

And I think he did it with a dream, goal if you may, he obviously didn't just become that fast, he made himself that way, and he did it through a good diet, vigorous training and something to keep he motivated.

I think that Usain bolt achieved his goal to be the fastest person on earth by practicing everyday, putting his mind to what he wanted to do and having support from family and friends. I think that it is a combination of all three raw talent, support and hard work. What I have learned from setting goals myself is wanting to set goals that you can achieve but you also dont want them really easy. For example if i wanted to start to do a proper axel I woudnt say I will try to do a triple axel because that would be setting the goal to high and would be hard to achieve which could make me want to quit.

I think he achieved his goal because of talent and practise because if you practise lots then you will accomplish your goal. If you really set your mind to something then you can accomplish that.

I think that Usain Bolt practiced a lot to become the worlds fastest person alive. Obviously he never gave up, even if he failed he would get back up. Many professional athletes would never think that they would become what they would today, so maybe Bolt never even knew that he would become a sprinter and never had goals. But, if he was aiming to become a professional sprinter, I think he did achieve his goals.
