Welcome to everyone in Mr. Hong's class! I was happy to meet most of you over the last few days! I am extremely excited to be teaching all of you this year! I can already tell our year is going to be full of amazing learning! I am looking forward to teaching you and helping you learn! Mrs. Kidd and Mr. Bains will be with us as well helping your learn! I am happy to see that not even a pandemic could stop you from coming to school to learn! Can you count up the number of times I said 'learn' in this paragraph?!?!?!?

IMPORTANT:

Be sure to email your 'HEALTH ASSESSMENT CHECK' completed and signed by your parents. If you don't know your PEN, you do not have to include it on the form.

HOMEWORK
1.) POST A RESPONSE:

Your first homework assignment is to write a welcome back message (paragraph format) to your classmates and your teachers!
You can include things you wrote in class today on your 'ALL ABOUT ME' handout. For example, likes, favourite subject, least favourite subject, hobbies, etc.
Include an engaging intro (hook), body, and conclusion in your paragraph.

Hello, Division 1,

Mr. Bains here - I am happy to be with you all online and in room 102 with Mr. Hong for my final practicum as a student-teacher! My first four days here at Laurier have been awesome. I will continue to do my best to S.O.A.R and become the best possible student teacher I can be during my time with you all! I enjoyed telling you my "Two Truths and a Lie" and leading the "All About Me" activity. Some things that I like are Muay Thai (Thai Boxing), cycling, cooking, my week-day morning routine, and spending time with loved ones. Something that I am trying to work on is managing my stress and anxiety levels both inside and outside of school. It is a work in progress, but that is all apart of the learning process. As Mr. Hong says, "The Learning Never Stops"! Thank you for taking the time to read my response - see you all Monday!

Hello! I am very happy to be in this class. I have been hoping school will start soon so I can see you all. I have enjoyed my first day in this class learning about the teachers and talking to my friends. Some things I enjoy are video games like Minecraft, tv shows, gym, basketball, movies, and hanging out with my friends. Some goals I have are learning how to cook and barbecue. Which I am getting better at. Despite the situation I think this will be a great year and I am looking forward to it! See you all soon!

Hello, my name's Samantha! I'm very excited to be in your class this year. Some things I enjoy are dancing, acting out plays, baking, anime, and music. some music artists I like are TWICE, Blackpink, BTS, Oh Wonder, and Ariana Grande. Hi! I am extremely excited to be in Division 1. Some of the things that I like are reading, Minecraft, Lego and talking to my friends. One thing I don't like is loud noises. Mostly I don't like loud animal noises like barking.Of all the subjects, I like Social Studies because I find learning about our world's past interesting. I dislike Art the most of all the subjects. I am excited to be a part of this amazing class and I know we'll have an awesome year even though we are going through the COVID-19 pandemic.

Ok, I am really excited for things we are gonna be doing in the future like: Robotics and stuff. here are some things I like: Basketball, minecraft (servers) Valorant (like CsGO and Overwatch mixed together) and anime too! Some musical artists i like are: i actually have no idea, i like songs based on how good they are, but i mostly like KPOP and pop songs, rap songs if the beat is good. Hi, Im Simone and I look forward in spending grade 7 with you guys. I like to read books like Mazerunner, Hunger Games, The Hobbit, Heroes of Olympus, Divergent, and many more. I also enjoy debate (CP, BP, etc) and robotics (Vex, Lego Robotics, Ev3). My some of my favourite subjects are Language arts, Social Studies, and ADST. I hope to journey with all of you guys through 7th grade.

Hi I'm Lars and doing this at 6am. I like to wake up early because sleeping in is boring and a waste of the day (in my opinion). I like games like Fortnite and Minecraft, and like reading as well. My favourite books were the Divergent series and my favourite movie was Endgame. I'm really happy to be in grade 7 finally, and I hope we'll have a great year!

Hi, I am Seth. I have been waiting for school to start because I have been getting really bord, So I was really happy to see my classmates again, I like science, food, and Programming. I didn’t realize that we were required too say something for my other comment so yeah. Hello, my name is Tyson and I’m still 11 years old and have been in this school since grade 3. My interests are physical education, science/computer science and math. Otherwise from my interests from school my interests in life are computer video editing, competitive tournaments, YouTube, Twitch/streaming and being a professional player for a professional org. My favourite things I eat are mostly Pizza, burgers... you know, that kind of food. I’m great at dancing and TKD. I like reading big books but are more entertained by reading comic books. I am really excited too be with a male teacher because I’ve never been with a male teacher for school. Also before i submit this i have a question is work due weekly or daily?

Monday sept 14 2020

Welcome back everyone, I hope all of you enjoyed your long break and are ready to get back into shape. I wonder how everyone is doing and I think you do too! I am extremely excited to see what has changed from the last time I saw you, like have you grown any pimples? Have you gotten anything cool? Has your voice gotten deeper? These are all questions I wonder and are all question I WILL ask you when I come back to school. Apart from knowing how you all are doing, what's also interesting is “who is in my CLASS?” Though that's not a questionable question because in Microsoft teams it says who Mr. Hong added but I didn't check because I wanted a surprise. Anyways I am happy that we can all get together again in school and can slowly get back too normal. I'm also really excited to welcome our new students.

To all teachers, I also welcome all of you back too and hope you can have a good time with all of your new students and I wish you and your students the best and a great year (last year for the grade 7s). I'm not one hundred percent sure who Mr. Hong is because well of course, new teacher but I hope Mr. Hong and I can get along with each other, especially the fact that it's my first time with a male teacher. Ive been with female teachers so much I haven't really gotten a chance to be with a male teacher, but this is a life changer and let's hope it all goes well! (To old, new classmates and to teachers) Since it's been a while, I’ve changed a lot. I THINK I've become more responsible; I’ve become a professional video editor for Fortnite players (I do get paid). I also started doing YouTube more and decided to start streaming on twitch much more. I try to stream daily and post actively.

As you know and see I am not in school, probably meaning I chose the other option where I join school in around October 13 or 14. So yes, it's a disadvantage but I'm sure I can get through it. I wish for all of you to stay safe and I'll see you in October.

Hi, this is my first year in grade 7 and I am looking forward to being in the same class as everyone. I usually listen to music, some artists I listen to are TXT, BTS, Blackpink, Alicia Keys, Tiffany Day, Destiny Rogers, Ariana Grande and much more. I read and watch crack videos, and I also like skating and dancing but I’m too lazy to pick it up as a hobby. Although the pandemic is still going on, I’m glad to start learning again!

Hallo, my name is Isa. This is the second year I came to Canada. Although my classmates are different from last year. But I am also very happy to meet the different classmates. Of course, I also have hobbies, that is crafting and painting. My dad bought me a lot of pigment and hand tools. I also like to travel abroad. My favorite place is Hawaii.
